Counselling is not merely a space for talking; it is an opportunity to unburden oneself, develop self-awareness, and ultimately heal. Counselling is about engaging genuinely with another human being who will not judge you but will empathise with your thoughts and feelings. As a qualified Counsellor, I am equipped with years of training and extensive personal experience. My aim is to build a trusti
ng relationship with all of my clients and ensure we work together on whatever issues they may bring. As a qualified Psychotherapist, it is my duty to ensure the client develops their self-awareness. Therapy is not just about exploring personal issues, it is about understanding how we came to be and why we behave the way that we do so we can be empowered to make changes wherever possible. For this reason, therapy is a team effort. Clients will have the opportunity to learn about themselves on multiple levels. To date, I have worked with clients who experience chronic anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, chronic/acute pain, addiction, grief, complex trauma, PTSD, compulsive behaviours, relationship problems, as well as specialised cases involving physical/sexual abuse. I also have specialised training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, su***de intervention, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Drama Therapy.
