The death has occurred of Margaret O’Rourke (nee Gillard), Wheatfields, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and formerly Norwich, England.

Margaret passed away peacefully at Tipperary University Hospital on Tuesday evening surrounded by her loving family. She is pre-deceased by her husband John, brother James and sister Doreen. Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Christine (Connolly), son Norman, grandchildren Conor, Catherine, Zoe, Sean, David and Leah, daughter-in-law Sharon, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, friends and her furry friend Buster.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Kingston, Roaring Spring Road, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and formerly Dunmanway, Co Cork.

Jim passed away peacefully at Tipperary University Hospital on Wednesday morning. He is pre-deceased by his wife Anne, son James, brothers Reg and Raymond and sister Dorothy. Beloved father of Marc and David he will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughter-in-law Anne Marie, grandchildren Aoife, Orla and Tom, brother Tom, sisters Ida and Audrey, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Joe passed away peacefully at Tipperary University Hospital on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of his loving family. He is pre-deceased by his sister Alice. Terry (in her 100th year), passed away peacefully at Tipperary University Hospital on Wednesday evening surrounded by her loving family. She is pre-deceased by her husband Michael. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Carol (Morrissey), son-in-law Tom, grandchildren Aoife (and her husband Paul), Leah (and her husband Ross), Karen (and her husband Tomás), Thomas (and his wife Elaine), her twelve great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Frances (in her 95th year), passed away peacefully in the care of the staff of Sonas Melview Nursing Home, Clonmel on Sunday afternoon surrounded by her loving family. She is pre-deceased by her husband Denis and sons Noel, Paul and Derek. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Dessie, Gerry and Kieran, daughters Margaret, Denise and Elaine, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Anam Cara Support meetings for bereaved parents continue monthly from September until June each year. These peer group meetings offer a space of compassion and understanding for those grieving their child - at any stage.

Details for this month's meeting are as follows:

Anam Cara's Parent Support Evening in your area will take place on Wednesday 21st January 2026 at 7.30pm in the Horse and Jockey Hotel, Thurles. No registration needed.

Grace passed away tragically on Friday 21st November 2025. I hope this finds you and yours well and am sending my warmest wishes for a joyful and abundant 2026. I am touching base to let you know about our first online Bereavement Information Evening of the New Year.

This event will take place online on Tuesday 22nd January at 7pm

This Bereavement Information Evening is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age the child died, the circumstances of their death, or the time since bereavement. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Róisín Finnegan.

Dr. Róisín Finnegan is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist currently working in Cancer Care West with individuals affected by cancer and loss.

This talk will focus on understanding grief after the death of a child, the many ways it can show up over time, and how parents can be supported in living alongside their loss. It will also touch on the impact of loss within the family, including siblings, and offers gentle ways of coping when emotions feel overwhelming.
