We are sad to announce the passing of
Thomas (Tom) Lalor
14 Church Avenue, Stradbally, Laois.
August 18th 2025

Stradbally/ Birmingham

Thomas (Tom) passed away peacefully at his residence in the company of his loving family. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Dorothy, his sons Christy, Mark, daughter Jennifer, stepdaughters Isabell and Cheryl, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and brothers Seamus and Larry.
Thomas is predeceased by first wife Rose his two sons Patrick and Martin, his brothers Jerry and Paddy.
Thomas will be sadly missed by his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Presentation Chapel of Rest Stradbally on Tuesday from 4:30pm to 8pm with recital of the rosary at 8pm.
Thomas requiem mass will take place at 12 noon in the Sacred Heart church Stradbally on Wednesday the 20th. Which can be viewed on the church we**am https://svtparish.ie/we**am Interment to follow in Oakvale cemetery.

We are sad to announce the passing of
Joseph (Joe) Luttrell
Fisherstown, Ballybrittas, Laois.
August 3rd 2025

Joe passed away in the company of his loving family in The Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Joan, his daughter Alison, his son Danny, son in law Riki and Danny’s girlfriend Jennifer, cherished grand daughter Saoirse, his siblings Dan, Johnny, Jude, Betty, Garry, Mary, Simon Noel, sisters in law Dorothy, Julie, Oonagh, Sophie, Patricia, Carmel and Elizabeth, brothers in law Leo, Mick and Bill, his uncle Joe and aunt Mary, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Predeceased by his father Simon, his brother Garrett and recently his mother Anna.

May Joe Rest in Peace.

Reposing on Tuesday in Our Lady’s Chapel of Rest Monasterevin (W34 N599) from 4pm to 8pm with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm.

Joe will be arriving on Wednesday to the Sacred Heart Church Rath (R32 FN44) for 12 noon Requiem mass.
Interment to follow in Saint Johns cemetery, Killenard (R32 VW77).
House strictly private at all times please.

Marian passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family in Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Sadly missed by her husband Tom, her sister Sheila, brothers Dick and Joe. Predeceased by her sisters Angela, Debbie and Evelyn and her brothers Seamus and Tony. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday the 17th of July from 3pm to 8pm with recital of the rosary at 8pm.
Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors from her residence on Friday at 1:15pm to arrive at Saint Michael's Church Timahoe for 2pm Requiem mass. Which may be viewed on the church we**am.
Interment to follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery.
House private Friday morning please.

Brendan Michael Hartnett

Michael passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family in Ofalia House, Edenderry, Co. Offaly. Predeceased by his brother Bernard. Sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, his sons Keith and Gerard and his daughter Kirsten, son in law Damian, daughters in law Mary and Niamh, his adored grandchildren Laurence, Sarah, Rachael, Michelle, Louise, Noah, Ellen and his sister Maura, his niece Bernie and his nephew Leon, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Vera Donohue
(née Conroy)

Vera passed away suddenly but peacefully in Portlaoise General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband John, sister Marie, brothers Brendan and Jack, her brother-in-law Paddy Donohue.
Sadly, missed by her sons and daughters, Donal, Diarmuid, Maria, Eva and John, daughters in law, Sinead, Patricia and Michelle, son in law Paul and Marias partner James. Loving Grandmother to Conor, Aine, David, Emer, Orla and Noah. Her brothers Tony, Joe George, Peter and Louis, her brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Saturday 24th from 4 o’clock concluding with the Recital of the rosary at 8pm.

Join us for our Annual Lackagh Graveyard Mass to remember all our loved ones buried in the Graveyard and elsewhere. It will take place on Wednesday June 11th at 7.30pm . Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Denis Nulty D.D. Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin Diocese along with our Parish Priest Fr Liam Merrigan . All are welcome and after Mass we are having a rededication of the Commerative plaque on the wall of the Church ruins , that commemorates the people from the area that was exiled to Barbados. His Excellency Cleviston Haynes our Barbados Ambassador to Ireland will attend.
