🏉 Canterbury Give It A Try – Starting This Week! 🏉
Starting tomorrow night, the Canterbury Give It A Try (GIAT) programme kicks off for an 8-week fun-filled introduction to rugby for girls aged 8–16.
GIAT runs in selected clubs and is all about:
✅ Fun and confidence-building sessions
✅ Lots of games and activity
✅ A gentle, gradual introduction to rugby
✅ A welcoming environment for beginners
Now in its 9th year, the programme has a proven track record, with many former participants progressing through age-grade rugby. A number are now competing at U18 Interprovincial and Senior levels – a fantastic pathway from first try to higher honours.
📍 Cobh Pirates will be running their GIAT programme starting May 12th.

Great fun, lots of games and a gentle and gradual introduction to the game of rugby. Now in its 9th year, former participants are playing right up through age grade with a number now playing Interprovincial rugby at U18 level and Senior levels.
