FLU VACCINE- FOR ADULTS AND 2-12 YEAR OLDS

It will be more important than ever that at risk groups get the Flu vaccine this year, given that Covid-19 will still be with us. This Autumn for the first time the vaccine will be available free of charge to 2-12 year olds and we recommend to parents that all children avail of it. It will be administered to children by nasal spray- no needles.
Please avoid phoning the surgery but instead visit our website www.wherlandslanegp.ie for regular updates on when flu vaccine will be available at our clinic and how we propose to administer it safely to patients during Covid-19

We stongly encourage all our patients to download and use the Government's new Covid-19 Tracker App. It will help to keep everyone safer and reduce the risk of a "2nd wave" and new lockdown here. More details here :

COVID Tracker is a free mobile app for iOS and Android phones. It helps us to protect each other and slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ireland. Using the app along with the existing public health measures will help us stay safe when we meet up, socialise, work or travel.
