In my work I apply the functional medicine approach which states that seemingly separate diseases like Alzheimer’s, autoimmune, heart disease and obesity, all have common root causes like inflammation, oxidative stress, imbalances in the gut microbiome or toxic overload. Out of all the factors that impact our health and wellbeing, like: diet, toxins, allergens, stress, fresh air, sleep, by far the biggest one is food. The wrong foods can harm our bodies and the right foods can optimize bodily functions. Our bodies hold an incredible wisdom and ability to heal. All we need to do, is to create the right conditions in which the healing process may occur. In my practise I focus on returning to the way our ancestors were eating, I emphasise the diet which is natural, wholesome, full of high quality produce with addition of some lean meats.
