Here is a lift we installed last week for one of our customers in Ballyphehane. We opted to go with the Acorn 130 superglide with a hinge rail so as not to cause an obstruction to the doorway at the bottom of the stairs and to allow the most amount of space for the user. Another company had been out before us and wanted the customer to remove the newel post at the top of the stairs before they would fit the stairlift, There was absolutely no need to do so... Luckily this customer wanted a second opinion.
