Cork Canine Rehabilitation Centre Small animal physiotherapy, rehabilitation and canine hydrotherapy

Canine aqua and Hydrotherapy is water based physiotherapy concerned with identifying the animals needs and using specifically designed therapeutic skills and modalities to aid in the restoration, maintenance and quality of function of an animal with acute, transient or chronic disabilities, syndromes or disease. It can also be used to improve endurance and stamina and psychological well being of the healthy dog. Canine aqua and hydrotherapy can be used as part of the rehabilitation program designed to facilitate the progress of recovery from injury, illness, or disease to as normal a condition as possible.

The ideal candidate would have a qualification in both veterinary physiotherapy/small animal rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. A qualification in any aspect of canine physiotherapy or hydrotherapy will be considered.

Hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend and enjoyed the sunshine ☀

We are so happy to be back treating patients! Our main priority is taking care of your animal as well as making sure we are adhering to the COVID-19 government restrictions.

Pause....... or Pawz as they say in the animal world!!!! Reflecting over the past 11 years in Veterinary Rehabilitation, the friends- both canine and human!! The colleagues - both canine and human!!!! The mentors, the education, life lessons, daily learning, growth mindset, thinking outside the box, problem solving and working with clients and colleagues to find a solution or give support to our beloved furry friends and their carers. Cork Canine Rehabilitation Centre is privileged to have wonderful Therapists and assistants work with us over the years and we are extremely lucky to have Veterinary physiotherapist Stephanie O Sullivan and physio assistant Kelly Monaghan on board, both have a unique skill set from human and animal based physiotherapy to canine behaviour, meeting the needs of the pre and post operative, arthritic and painful patient to the elite athlete. Cork Canine Rehabilitation Centre strives for best practice with delivering the highest quality of land and water based physiotherapy to our small animal patients.
