💣 Truth bomb: You are not always going to feel confident. I certainly don't.
Over the past few months my confidence has taken a knock and I have not been embodying the things that I teach.
It looks like this, something happens be it professionally or personally and it knocks you but you are determined, resilient and ambitious. You want to feel confident again as you have big dreams and aspirations, so you try to do the things you think will support you to get back up.
Then something else happens and you dip again, never quite getting back up to the level of confidence you had. And on it goes, knock to your confidence, rally but never getting back to where you started. After a few setbacks the gap between where you are and how you are feeling has widened and you don't know how to get back up, you can't imagine feeling that vibrant, energised, confident you again.
It slowly starts to impact you personally and professionally:
• not going to the network event.
• making excuses to decline invitations.
wearing the athleisure wear when wfh (without the active element).
• punishing yourself for where you are, thinking you deserve it and this is your lot.
• not buying new clothes until you lose some weight...this perpetuates saying no to invitations and opportunities.
• feeling like an imposter and not showing up in your business.
• you don't recognise yourself anymore, this isn't you.
• you feel like you are living life and black and white...where has all the damn colour gone and it's reflected in your outfits!
• feel you need to be perfect and have your s**t together to share your voice, opinion, expertise.
• waiting until you feel better or look better to show up.
I get it, I have been going through this pattern for the past few months.
BUT, here's the thing we get to choose.
I am not downplaying the fact that you may be facing challenges, difficult things happen in life.
But, we can decide to step up and reclaim our confidence.
I AM CHOOSING CONFIDENCE right here, right now 💃🏻.
As a businesswoman and leader I haven't been feeling my most confident and unhelpful stories have crept in. If I don't have my s**t together what right do I have to help and empower women to reclaim their confidence.
But honestly the fact that I keep going, keep showing up, keep trying my best with what is happening in the background is exactly the reason that I am the right person to help you.
I get it.
I understand what you are going through.
I draw on my personal experience and professional resources to help women, just like you, to choose YOU and get back up again.
🔥I choose to stop hiding.
🔥I choose to show up imperfectly.
🔥I choose to use this 'wobble' to take stock and re-assess what I want from life and re-prioritise.
🔥I choose with intention how I look and feel every day, from this day forward...regardless of my current size and changing body shape (thank you peri menopause).
Who's with me?
1️⃣ be kind to yourself, you are bloody fabulous, you are doing your best, you are an amazing person and you deserve to feel frick'in fabulous.
2️⃣ know there is another way, know you don't have to feel the way you do, know that this too shall pass, know it's ok to reach out and get help and support.
💥 I had a moment where I declared enough was enough. Let this your moment to turn things around.
I started small (that's all I really felt able for as my energy was so depleted and confidence so low) but here's the thing...MAGIC happened when I decided to take the first step.
When I took those first steps to reclaim my power my confidence started to grow.
'I'm back Baby" 💃🏻.
DM me NOW with the word SASSY if you are ready to choose to get back up with style.
I will be with you every step of the way.
Let's GO!
Sharon
