About us

Minihan’s Chemist, established by Liam Minihan in 1955, is located at the corner of Oliver Plunkett Street and Winthrop Street, serving the needs of the people of Cork for over 60 years.

Today the business is operated by his nephew John Minihan and his wife Trish who took over the business in 1995.

Minihan’s has survived many changes in the retail environment and many recessions since opening, however retains its distinctive shop front at 108 Oliver Plunkett Street (opposite the GPO).
