My Canine Companion is an Irish national charity RCN 20079147 who provide accredited service dogs Many of our clients have dual or multiple diagnoses.

My Canine Companion is committed to enriching the lives of people with difficulties particularly autism,through the placement of highly skilled Service Dogs and companion dogs providing safety, independence, and companionship to our clients

As each child is different our organisation provides an outstanding customised service to meet the specific needs of each family. We work with children and young adults with not only autism but varied other conditions. We assess a families specific needs and we try to adapt our services to satisfy those needs. We have placed service dogs that work with two siblings on the spectrum, we have also placed two service dogs in families with two or more children on the spectrum. My Canine Companion does not have a cut off age for applying for our service we have successfully worked with a number of teenagers and young adults

Team MCC were delighted to join the Rethink Ireland team today, at their staff day in Cork!

MCC superhero Mescal and 4 of our N litter puppies were delighted to meet the team and to spread awareness about MCC and the work that we do.

As proud recipients of the Disability, Participation and Awareness fund, it was great to be able to share the progress in our project and how Rethink Ireland have enabled us to expand our School Therapy Dog programme this year!

Thanks to the team for a great visit!

Some fantastic photos from Leinster Puppy class last week, in IKEA.

It was very busy in IKEA & Angelo, Dobby and Dudley had a great class.

Thanks to all of the IKEA staff who came to say hello and take lots of photos of our MCC superheroes! Well done guys.

Congratulations Cliona!!!

This week, My Canine Companion co-founder and operations manager, Cliona, graduated with first class honours in Autism Studies in UCC.

What a fantastic achievement, while working full time to change the lives of families nationwide, and being a busy mom to 3 beautiful girls!

MCC Superstar Mescal made sure to congratulate Cliona on the day, but he did wonder where his cap and gown were!

These guys have done an amazing job and have now returned home to their families to begin their new roles!
