🏇🚑Mallow Races | Duty Update🚑🏇

What a weekend! Our Cork Unit volunteers were out in full force at the Mallow Races, working through rain, mud, and everything in between. Despite the tough conditions, spirits stayed high and the team delivered first-class care to all who needed it.

A huge thank-you to every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and professionalism over the weekend. Your dedication—no matter the weather—ensures that events like this can run safely and smoothly.

Special thanks as well to our colleagues from other units who supported the duty. Teamwork like this is what keeps our service strong.

Here’s to dry socks, hot showers… and to doing it all again soon!

🚑 International Volunteer Day 🚑

In honour of International Volunteer Day, we are taking a moment to appreciate the dedication and work of all our volunteers from our Cadets to our Senior Unit.

Our members take time every week to train in first aid so they can go out into different communities and lend their talents and skills to those in need. Their willingness to give their time and talents makes a meaningful difference in ways both seen and unseen. We appreciate their unwavering commitment and the positive impact they create each and every day. We are so proud of our members and they have gone above and beyond this year for our team, our organisation and our communities.

The Order of Malta has a long standing history across the world and in our post we want to show appreciation not just for our members but our fellow volunteers across the globe who are making meaningful impacts across countries every day.

Thank you to all our volunteers for their dedication to their work 👏

A busy and rewarding weekend for our volunteers as we provided full medical cover at two major racing events!

On Saturday we were on duty at the Point-to-Point Horse Race, ensuring riders, spectators, and staff had immediate medical support throughout the day.
Sunday brought us to the Mallow Racetrack Race Day, where our teams once again delivered professional, compassionate care for all in attendance.

A huge thank you to all our dedicated members who gave their time and expertise. Your commitment keeps our community safe and allows these fantastic events to run smoothly. ❤️

Well done everyone

🎉 Pride of Cork Awards 2025 🎉

We are incredibly honoured to have received an award at this year’s Pride of Cork Awards, presented by Minister Jerry Buttimer, recognising the outstanding work of the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps – Cork Units. 🏆

This award is a tribute to the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of our volunteers, who give their time and skills in service to the people of Cork — providing first aid cover at community events, supporting our ambulance service, and being there whenever help is needed. 🚑💛

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers of the Pride of Cork Awards for this recognition, and to all our members for their unwavering commitment to serving others.

We are proud to serve our community — and even prouder to call Cork our home. ❤️💪
