📍 Windmill House Care Centre, Churchtown, Co Cork.

Love working with people and bringing joy to others? We’re looking for an Activities Coordinator to create fun, meaningful activities for our residents—from arts & crafts to music and social events.

What we’re looking for:
• Positive, caring and creative personality
• Experience in a nursing home or social care setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in activities like music, arts, gardening or similar

Minimum requirement: Leaving Certificate
(QQI Level 5 & Sonas training are a bonus)

🌸🐣 Easter Joy at Windmill House Care Centre 🐣🌸

Our residents at Windmill House Care Centre recently enjoyed a wonderful celebration of Easter filled with laughter, creativity, and togetherness 💛

From decorating colourful Easter eggs 🎨🥚 to taking part in a fun-filled Easter egg hunt, there were smiles all around. Residents also got creative with seasonal arts and crafts, making beautiful spring decorations to brighten up our home 🌼

Of course, no Easter celebration would be complete without some delicious treats! Everyone enjoyed freshly baked goodies and a lovely social gathering with friends and staff 🍰☕

It was truly heartwarming to see such joy, connection, and community spirit. A big thank you to our amazing team for making the day so special for our residents 💐

🎉 **Padre Pio Care Centre is Now Open – Churchtown, North Cork** 🎉

We are delighted to announce that **Padre Pio Care Centre is now officially open** and welcoming residents.

First opened in 1994, Padre Pio has always been an important part of the Churchtown community. After 16 months, we’re proud to see the lights back on following a full refurbishment by Windmill Healthcare—bringing the home to modern standards while keeping its warm, homely feel.

This is a significant milestone for the local area, and it’s wonderful to see such a positive response from the community 💛

A huge congratulations to **Meji Martin, Director of Nursing**, and her team, who have worked tirelessly to prepare the home and are now ready to welcome residents.

As part of Windmill Healthcare, we bring over 20 years of award-winning care experience, with a strong focus on dignity, respect, and person-centred care.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at Killeline Care Centre were full of joy, laughter, and plenty of Irish spirit! 🍀

Our residents had a fantastic time enjoying the festivities, from the lively music and dancing to the wonderful atmosphere shared with friends and staff. There were smiles all around as everyone embraced the occasion, with lots of green on display and a great sense of community throughout the day.

It was a truly special celebration, creating happy memories for all involved. 💚

🍀 Recently at Ferbane Care Centre, residents enjoyed a wonderful performance in the chapel by the talented dancers from the Sarah Clocker School of Dance. The lively Irish dancing filled the room with energy and joy, and it was heartwarming to see so many smiles and feet tapping along to the music.

The residents were delighted by the fabulous costumes and impressive footwork. A big thank you to the dancers and their teachers for sharing their time and talent with us—it was a truly enjoyable morning for everyone. 🍀

💐 International Women’s Day at Windmill House Care Centre 💐

We had a wonderful time celebrating International Women’s Day here at Windmill House Care Centre with our residents and staff.

To mark the occasion, we hosted a special screening of the Barbie movie, which brought lots of smiles, laughter, and great conversation among everyone who attended. It was a lovely way to celebrate the incredible women in our community.

We would like to take a moment to recognise the incredible achievements of Aoife O’Sullivan, one of our dedicated HCAs here at Windmill House Care Centre.

Aoife has recently had an outstanding run of success in athletics, achieving some truly impressive milestones:

✨ A personal best of 1.85m, placing her 7th on the all-time Irish list
✨ A new MTU University record
✨ A U23 Championship record (1.81m) while representing Ireland in Norway
✨ Her first international medal – Bronze – in France

We are extremely proud of Aoife and honoured to have such a talented and inspiring member of our team. Congratulations Aoife on these fantastic achievements — we look forward to seeing what comes next! 👏

Today at Windmill House we proudly celebrated Denim Day for Dementia 💙👖

Staff and residents came together wearing their favourite denim to raise awareness and show support for people living with dementia. It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, conversation, and a strong sense of community.

Small acts like this help start important conversations and remind us of the importance of understanding, compassion, and support for those affected by dementia.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day special! 💙
