Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. WHAT TO EXPECT AT A REFLEXOLOGY SESSION

After taking note of the client's medical history, lifestyle and general health, the reflexologist will use this information to work on specific areas of the feet. First, the therapist will usually start by gently warming and massaging the feet to promote relaxation. They may use powder. They will then apply pressure to specific areas of the feet. It's normal for this pressure to feel sensitive or uncomfortable, but is should never be painful. Treatment normally lasts around 45 minutes. The initial session being an hour with 15 minutes consultation beforehand.
