The Cancer-Fighting Cookbook

The Cancer-Fighting Cookbook New HRB project developing cookbooks for cancer prevention & cancer recovery,created by dietitians with contributions from patients & chefs

A new project has been undertaken by University College Cork in collaboration with the registered charity Breakthrough Cancer Research to develop two new resources for Cancer Prevention and for Cancer Recovery.

1. Good Nutrition for Cancer Recovery- a new booklet comprising of information, advice and recipes for patients with cancer experiencing involuntary weight loss/ swallowing difficulties. This will be developed by dietitians, with recipe contributions from Ireland's top chefs as well as cancer patients and their families. This booklet will then be distributed in oncology centres across Ireland and available to patients free of charge.

2. Good Nutrition for Cancer Prevention- a new hardback cookbook comprising of healthy eating recipes for the prevention of cancer, developed by dietitians, with recipe contributions from Ireland's most renowned chefs. It is our intention that this cookbook will available to buy in bookshops and online, with proceeds going to Breakthrough Cancer Research.
