To me wellness is a whole process of physical activity, mental reflection, social engagement and emotional awareness. My goal is to enhance your health and fitness with training that you will find engaging and rewarding.Whether you are training to be stronger, faster, fitter or just for life I can help you to get on the right track. I believe your fitness is rooted in a solid foundation of core strength and muscular flexibility.All my workouts require you to use your core through functional training including suspension, kettle bells, free weights and body weight. I recognise that every person is unique and what works for one may not work for the next, but everybody can reach their health and fitness goals through hard, smart training with determination and dedication. I believe in consistent training programs with lots of variety, challenging your muscles and cardiovascular system while focusing on your mind to body connection. My approach to training is to bring components of education, functional training and enjoyment to every session. I teach excellent technique making your workout more efficient and productive for your body, I want you to take fitness off of your ' To do List ' and enjoy it as part of your daily life. I am particularly sensitive to those who are trying to lose weight as I too struggled to reach my fitness goals, especially after the birth of my 3 children, then comes the maintenance phase where I will teach you to overcome your dependance on the scales to become strong and confidant not only in body but mind too.I believe that support and education in how to train properly is a key component in reaching your goals. Your confidence will build as you gradually build fitness levels. Be prepared to push outside your comfort zone as I will set dynamic and challenging programs ensuring you get the results you deserve. My personal approach and passion to teach and empower will inspire you to embrace fitness!!

Planning your fitness for September ...

Kettlebells is a full body workout that will help you build strength and lean muscle tone.

It improves overall body strength by using many muscle groups at once.

It improves focus and co-ordination as you swap the bell between your hands and shift weight from side to side.

It will be as intense as you choose, form is always my primary goal, so if something isn't quite right for you I will adjust it.

Kettlebells require focus and provide a challenge, don't be afraid, just try it.

Breast cancer is a life changing event, one you cannot anticipate or plan for and one in which you have no choice. Don't think you're too young to worry about it just yet, because breast cancer does not discriminate against age or seemingly healthy individuals, I know !! This fundraiser appealed to me because contrary to what one may think I don't particularly like to squat and will avoid in favour of deadlifting every time, so this truly is a challenge. I worked 555 squats into my training last night ( workout coming next post ) and I can tell you my 🍑 is delicate today !! Raising awareness for breast cancer and much needed funds for a cause so close to so many of us is the real reason, you may not be in a position to donate to this fundraiser right now but if me doing 3000 squats draws your attention to you checking your breasts, I'll consider it worthwhile xx

Breast cancer is a life changing event, one you cannot anticipate or plan for and one in which you have no choice. Get familiar with your body, what do your breasts feel like? Have you checked recently? Don't think you're too young to worry about it just yet, because breast cancer does not discriminate against age or seemingly healthy individuals, I know !! The best hope of surviving a diagnosis is early detection. That’s why routine self-exams of the breasts to identify any lumps, swelling or anything at all out of the ordinary, as well as mammograms with your health care professional are important. You may not be in a position to donate to this fundraiser right now and that's OK, but if me doing 3000 squats draws your attention to you checking your breasts, I'll consider it worthwhile xx

Summer is just too busy, not the right time to start... it's always the right time to start.

Too busy, always tired anyway so I'll be even worse trying to exercise too, right ... just wrong.

Don't have the confidence to train in a group ... no problem, zoom and videos available for you to train at home.

Coming back after lockdown or complete beginner ... simply doesn't matter, you're well able.

Too heavy, need to lose some weight first ... taboo, just call me.

Too old, weight training is for young ones ... rubbish, I train a 75 yr old who started at 71 !!

Only 1 week and we're back in the gym ♡♡♡

I've been really quiet on my social pages recently but zoom, fb and outdoor training has all been going on around a new puppy joining the family, I've been wondering if a baby would have been easier with all the attention Penny needs 🙃
Seriously though I'm now ready to accept new clients so don't be shy give me a call to see if we're a fit or follow the link in my bio to register and I will book your free consultation.

It's always nice to refresh so I'll update shortly on what you can expect when you train with me but be assured I've no gimmicks, no magic, just science based training that gets results 🙌🙌

First to note though who trains here is really important.
I have a broad client range from young lads and girls who need solid direction in how to train safely in the gym and develop their confidence. I have a fantastic young jockey who I'm going to make a fortune on when he gets to Cheltenham and an aspiring young runner who I'm gonna be screaming at on the TV when he gets to the Olympics. As a mother I know exactly what you expect of me when you entrust your budding young star to me.
I train young women involved in team sports and I have a competitive golfer who intends to win all around her this year 💥
Generally the age profile of my client is 30, 40, 50, 60 with whom I focus on movement. As we age we change and your training here will reflect what your body needs, pre/post natal, peri/post menopausal, recovering from injury/illness and weight management are areas where I thrive. I like to relate to my clients on a personal level so you can be comfortable in the knowledge that I may have personal experience of what you are going through☝ Now I am not post menopausal but inevitably I will be one day so I have a keen interest in this area of female health.
Fair heads up, I'm persistent, I dig deep to get the most out of you, so what I need from my client is honesty, a willingness to talk and be open about your goals. Be prepared to invest in yourself because if it's a quick fix you're after I'm not for you 😎
