We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jack Freeney, an incredible young man who inspired everyone he met to never let life stop you.
Jack and his father, Paddy, first knocked on our door when in for their check-ups with CUH Neurosurgery services. We were asked to be involved with their fundraising efforts. Movember and a massive cycle through Limerick was organised, accompanied and supported by Paddy's workplace, Wyeth and Bruff Rugby Club: their home away from home, where Jack was the captain of his team.
Every time they knocked on our office door, we were delighted to hear about the mad chats the two would have on the road up and down from Limerick to CUH. Jack and Paddy were an incredible duo, and weโre so grateful for the energy and positivity they brought to all of our meetings, before, during, and after the Askeaton Cycle.
Jack will always be a part of CUH Charity. His efforts will benefit the Neurosurgery department for years to come. We will never forget what he did for us.
Our heart goes out to Jackโs family, his friends, his club, and all those who knew him. We are all sharing the loss of such an incredible young man.
