It is hard not to notice the state of things. A few minutes of news or scrolling and we are met with misuse of power, fear dressed as certainty, and the strange theatre of it all.
We would have to be made of stone not to react.
Some feel anger. Some feel tired. Some feel small and quietly powerless. There is a particular kind of overwhelm that comes when the scale of the world feels bigger than our own small, ordinary lives.
The mind is clever. It tells us this is too big. That nothing we do matters.
And yet the deeper truth is that it does.
For me, this is where yoga becomes real. Not as a wellness habit, but as a spiritual practice. Not about escaping the world, but about standing your ground inside it. Feeling your feet on the earth. Staying present in your own body and your own life.
Learning to listen beyond the fear to the quieter inner voice of knowing.
This is where meditation matters.
Meditation is not an optional extra in yoga. It is the steady centre.
It is what helps us return to presence, to clarity, and to a heart that can stay open without hardening or collapsing.
That is the ground from which I have created my next training.
Awakening the Heart. Teaching the Path of Meditation.
An online immersion for dedicated practitioners and yoga teachers who want to deepen their meditation practice and learn how to teach it with clarity, confidence, and heart.
This is a return to the living core of yoga.
Not meditation as theory, but meditation as lived experience.
We will practise, study, and refine essential methods, and learn how to structure and guide meditation for others in a way that is clear, grounded, and accessible.
This work is for those who want their practice to meet this moment.
With steadiness.
With discernment.
With heart.
