Sending these wishes for 2026 on the actual 12th day of Christmas, which heralds the end of a time that can add an additional burden (the extra effort created by the festive season) to women's lives. In Ireland, that extra workload was traditionally "acknowledged" via the celebration on Jan 6th of "Women's Little Christmas", where women were given a rare day off household duties. Moving beyond the 🤔&😐 factors of that tradition (which could be debated long & hard!), let's focus instead on the principle of acknowledging & decreasing daily burdens on women & girls everyday....

PostureFitting is my solution for reducing the significant burden of breast weight. 2025 was an incredible year in which the huge number of enquiries delights us in knowing there are so any women & girls that we can help, but it's undoubtedly frustrating if you are still waiting to hear from us about an appointment. Thank you for your patience, & I can assure you we are doing our best to cater to you all, via myself & my PostureFitting Partners in Limerick, Wexford & Dublin, & via pop-up clinics around the country. Plus looking out for new Partners!

🥇My 1st on the 1st🥇posts were first inspired by me doing a round-up of events & realising how much had happened that I had not shared.

This month's, & the 1st for 2026, 1st on the 1st is being brought to you on the 2nd, being the time of year it is! Taking my own advice for self-care - it is high time for us to treat oourselves as we would others. Because we deserve it!

I spotted this carpet of daffodils on Jan 1st, making them the 1st daffodils of the year for me, & certainly my 1st time seeing any on the 1st day of the 1st month of the year! Symbolizing hope, renewal & new beginnings - the feeling of a fresh start & brighter days ahead - seems apt for the dawning of a new year.

The Irish word for daffodil is "lús an chromchinn", which literally means "plant of the bowed head," referring to its drooping flower 🥀. Now as I see b👀bs everywhere, I just can't help but associate that bowed orientation with the dipped headlights position that we see in women & girls before they have a PostureFitting 🥴😉.

If you want to just enjoy looking at but NOT channeling the daffodil's drooping posture, talk to us about a PostureFitting. You are most definitely worth it!

🥇 A family 1st on the 1st this month 🥇- celebrating my amazing mother Judy on her recent 95th birthday 🥳

Two things stand out among the many reasons Mum has achieved the milestone of "Eldest Ever" in our family, providing "experiential evidence" which gels so wll with what we promote for health & wellbeing:

1 Being active, especially outdoors, ideally from a young age.
Mum ticks all those boxes, walking regularly as a child near the sea in Co Waterford, often for hours as it was a mode of transport. She continued to walk frequently and with intent as an adult, maintaining the musculoskeletal resilience she built in those formative years.

2 Advocating for us & others. Mum was ahead of her time in not always accepting the status quo, by questioning, suggesting, and not accepting mediocrity when better than that was needed. I had learnt from the best when it became my turn to advocate for her needs when dementia stole that from her.

Oooh, & a sneaky 3rd - helping others with a kindness that has kept her connection with others massively to the fore.

If Carlsberg made role models....💙

Loved chatting b👀bs & posture with Elaine Crowley on Ireland AM (worth a watch if you have 4mins & 41secs to spare, biased as I admittedly am!), & then had fun, fulfillment and a full circle moment speaking at the 13th World Congress of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy. I served on the original Task Force to set up this organization, so am super proud to see the strides it has made!

My desire to enlighten folk on breast weight management, & how it impacts women & girls, is why I set up PostureFitting. I am so grateful for my therapist Partners listed below who have joined me on that journey, helping to spread the uplifting word, both near (Eng, Irl, Scot) & far (New Zealand!) 🙏🏼
