Where does anger live in your body?
We often think of anger as just an emotion, but the body feels it too.
Unexpressed or unprocessed anger often takes up residence in:
- The jaw – clenched teeth, grinding, tension.
- The shoulders – tight, heavy, carrying the weight of what’s unspoken.
- The digestive system – knots in the stomach, acid reflux, or sluggish digestion.
And on a deeper level, the liver is the organ most affected by anger. When this emotion isn’t released or expressed in a healthy way, it can create imbalance in the liver’s energy, leaving you feeling irritable, fatigued, or even physically unwell.
When anger stays locked inside, we need to give the body safe ways to release, soften, and restore balance.
Gentle massage, breathwork, massage, kinesiology, and mindful awareness can all help your body let go of what it’s been holding onto.
Your body doesn’t lie — it tells your stories, and it wants to be heard. Listen to it! 👂❤️
