A new study on the effect of habitual napping has been discussed widely this week since it was published by the researchers in UCL. The study concluded that individuals who are genetically programmed to be habitual nappers had better brain structural outcomes, but did not show improvement in cognitive performance ( reaction time, visual memory and hippocampal volume) in this study. However, several studies in the past has looked at the benefit of napping and reported positive outcomes.
