C贸nocht An Earraigh at 2.46pm today.

馃敟Spring equinox. . A time of balance. New stirrings and acceleration of growth in nature.
I recently coppiced a Hazel & Willow in the garden and made a Willow Moongate arch and Hazel gate for healthy boundaries between the delightful arrival of Spring lamps and I.

馃敟The lengthening days, today we bless & sow seeds , we have whispered our dreams into them and hold for a wonderful harvest.

馃敟Equinox is all about balance, inhale and exhale, dark and light, giving and receiving, our feminine / intuition and Masculine / action, restoring balance to self and all around us. Balance in Nature, in the World. It鈥檚 mid point of our 3 fertility festivals Imbolc to Bealtaine which then celebrates the fullness and beginning of Summer.
馃敟Boann/ she of the white cows is associated with this time, goddess of bounty, fertility, healing, wisdom ( salmon of knowledge) associated with Bru Na Boinne . The goddess Eostre is celebrated a name also rooted in the female hormone oestrogen. The goddess is symbolised by eggs giving new life and rebirth. 馃敟The dark of the year is past now, we welcome equal day and night.
馃敟 loughcrew is aligned with Spring Solstice the chambers pieced with light, the flow of energy is rising.
馃敟Spring energy awakens within ourselves to clean, cleanse. Time to plan what seeds or thoughts & projects we want to give birth to and nurture with the rising energy of Mother Nature. 馃敟A potent symbol of life is the egg protected by the hare /rabbit also symbols of fertility. lambs are been born nature is awake and and filled with life, the birds & bees 馃悵 are so busy preparing, what growth do you look forward to? What thoughts like seeds have been incubating and germinating within you , will you nurture them to make this your best year ever, what balance do you need to activate Spring Equinox? Get out on the land and get ready the wheel of the year keeps on turning 鉂わ笍 Juli.

May there be peace for all beings of the land all across the World.

From your own heart vibrating outwards.

Beannachtai l谩 le Padraig, early morning parade in Di**le town, 6am gathering with hundreds of people. The tradition dates back to penal laws and the Land War of the 1880s when the authorities banned marching on St Patrick鈥檚 Day between sunrise and sunset. In 1899 an ex coastguard officer, Joe Gorman returned from the Boer war and introduced the fife to Di**le. The town musicians quickly mastered the new instruments and Di**le Fife and Drum Band soon became a feature of Di**le life and all its celebrations 馃帀

The tribal sounds of our Di**le fife and drum band welcoming St Patrick鈥檚 day is now a wonderful time old tradition.

鈽橈笍鈽橈笍鈽橈笍 oh yes all the possibilities of Spring are in the air and we look forward to another turn of the wheel. Traditionally the first of the spuds were planted on St Patricks day and harvested on St Peter鈥檚 and Paul day.

Celebrating today that which is precious to be Irish and our beautiful homestead. We remember those who died in famine, war to bring peace to our Island.
Millions that emigrated and the whole wider Irish diaspora.

Also holding peace in our hearts for all humans and beings of the land across the World.

Na Pr茅ach谩n. All my life generations of Crows and Corvids have witnessed how as humans my family and I live on this one and precious Earth that we all share. They are bright and intelligent birds.
In folklore they are related to the Morrigan as shapeshifters.
They watch us humans and can identify human friends or foe.

Recently a large mature Holly tree was cut down the road from me. I loved it, sweet protective Holly. I used to pass it and say hello.
The Buzzard used to perch on it watching us. A pair of adorable Wood pigeons used to hang there like love birds cooing.

Other trees around it have also been cut mercilessly. Homes, perching spots to the many birds, thousands of other creatures. Creatures that live in habitats in hedgerows acting as biodiversity corridors that maintain the delicate balance in nature .

Where do they go now ? The corridors are getting smaller. Am sitting in Cork airport about to fly the Netherlands where I am teaching / giving workshops.

I feel sad as on my way here so many fields and trees have been felled. Homes to many sentient beings of nature . Songbirds that bring so much beauty to our lives . Small creatures that create fertility in the soil. The birds, creatures, insects & the bees, the composters, fertility makers share our World.

Each and every tree is worth saving as they give so much.
Each and every tree is home to generations of sentient beings just like us.

Love is who we are .... The more we share it the more we have.
Today we celebrate love and all matters of the heart. Valentine鈥檚 day is an old tradition thought to have originated from a Roman Festival known as Lupercalia,
It was held on February 15 as a fertility festival ( always good) dedicated to Faunus the Roman equivalent to the Greek god Pan, 馃槉the Roman god of agriculture.

St Valentine was a 3rd century martyr who married lovers when marriage was banned as it was thought they made better soldiers when single.
Some of his remains are held in no other than White Friar Church in Dublin. 鉂わ笍

馃悵So today feb 14th Happy Valentine鈥檚 Day, our patron saint of our beloved sacred bees.
Love is everything and all that we are. So fill your own heart with love and share abundantly 鉂わ笍 bee brave, 鉂わ笍 smiles go a long way , but 20 sec hugs even better.

Nature is all about love and they don鈥檛 go around giving cards and presents, you are loved just as you are 馃槉

This morning we were gifted with a magnificent sunrise. Such beauty.
