It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Fiona Helen Black, Drumgumberland, Convoy, F93VK11, who died on Thursday, 7th May 2026.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Bobby, sister Barbara, her husband Adair and family, Rachel, Stafford, Alex, Hannah and her three great nephews, her brother-in-law Mervyn, and her sisters-in-laws Jean and Isobel.
Fiona will repose at her home from 11am – 10pm tomorrow Saturday 9th May, and from 11am – 10pm on Sunday. Funeral leaving from her home on Monday 11th at 1.30pm, going to Convoy Presbyterian Church for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving for her life, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Family time, please today Friday, and on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Cancer Research, or the MS Society, care of Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Dearly loved husband of Pearl. Loving father of son Colin (Margaret), son Clive (Kathleen) and daughter Charlene (Gary). Devoted grandad of Aaron, Carter, Ben, Luke, Will, Anna and Kyle. Dear brother of Gretta. Predeceased by his brothers, Hubert and Billy, sisters, Mina and Dorothy.
His remains will repose at his home from 12noon - 10pm today Friday 8th May and from 12noon – 10pm on Saturday. Funeral leaving from his home on Sunday 10th at 2pm going to Newtowncunnigham Presbyterian Church, for Service of Thanksgiving at 2.30pm, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Sarah Elizabeth Mary Simpson née Brown, known as Sadie. 7th May 2026, peacefully at her home, 27 Richill Park, Kilfennan, Londonderry. BT475QY, and formerly of Carrickbrack, Convoy, Co. Donegal, surrounded by her loving family.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her devoted husband Robert, sons Marshall and Philip, and daughter Jill, daughters-in-law Arlene and Ruth and son-in-law Matthew. Adored grandmother of Emily, Oliver, Zoe, William, James, Ella and Max. Cherished sister of Sammy, Albert, Lexie, Ina and Paula. She will always be remembered by her extended family, neighbours and friends.
Sadie will repose at her home today, Friday 8th May, from 2pm – 10pm, and again on Saturday from 2pm – 10pm. Beloved wife of Maurice and much loved mother of Daphne (Gareth), Stephen (Nicola) and Esther (Dale). Devoted grandmother of Ellen, Leanne, Jack, Joshua (Rebecca) and Andrew (Sarah). Dear sister of Elvin, David and the late Hamilton and Donald.
Her remains will repose at her home. Everyone welcome from 2pm – 8pm Sunday 3rd May, and from 2pm – 8pm on Monday 4th May. Funeral leaving from her home on Tuesday 5th May at 1.30pm, going to Raphoe Presbyterian Church for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving, followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard. Billy is predeceased by his parents Jeannie and William, and brothers Roy and Sammy.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Ruth (Kevin), daughter Heather (David), son William (Erin), his grandchildren, his sisters Pearl and Jennifer, and the wider family circle.
His remains will repose at his late residence from 7pm – 10pm today Thursday 30th April and tomorrow Friday from 12noon – 10pm. Funeral leaving from his home on Saturday 2nd May at 2.30pm going to Convoy Presbyterian Church for 3pm Service of Thanksgiving, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. We, the family of the late Georgie Pearson, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us in our bereavement. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, those who provided food, and to all our kind neighbours and friends for all their kindness and support.
To all who sent text messages, cards, and donations in lieu of flowers.
Thanks to Monreagh Presbyterian Church and Johnson's Catering for providing the tea after the burial, and also to our organist, Rene and Piper Geoffrey.
Thanks to all the staff of St Vincent’s University Hospital, Letterkenny University Hospital and especially to the staff of The Irish Cancer Society and the HSE care team for the care given.

The peaceful death has taken place in Brindley Manor Nursing Home of David Alexander Baxter, 235 Townparks, Convoy (F93WNE5).
Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Olive, brother John, sisters Jeannie, Kathleen, Martha and Susie. David will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends.
His remains will repose at his late residence from 6pm – 10pm today Wednesday 8th April, and from 11am – 10pm tomorrow Thursday. Funeral leaving from there on Friday 10th at 1.30pm going Convoy Presbyterian Church for Service of Thanksgiving at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a grave digging and general groundworks role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manual grave digging and ground preparation
- Operating a small digger (mini excavator)
- Operating a small dumper
- Driving a pickup vehicle
- General outdoor and physical work as required

Requirements:

- Experience in manual labour or groundworks preferred
- Ability to operate machinery safely and responsibly
- Valid driving licence (required for pickup vehicle)
- Good work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Respectful and professional attitude, as work is often in sensitive environments

Position Details:

- 3 to 4 days per week
- Outdoor, physically demanding work
- Competitive pay (based on experience)
