Britton’s Pharmacy is a family run chemist which has been serving the community of Donegal for four decades.
Established by Joseph Britton Senior on May 1, 1979, in the Diamond, in the heart of Donegal town, Britton’s continues to go from strength to strength.
Joseph Britton Junior took over the business in 1999 and introduced many innovations while still maintaining the values and ethics set up by his father.
Britton's offers a unique medicine management system, provided nowhere else in the west of Ireland.
Joe explains that the system, which is currently being used by by more than 100 people at Britton's, makes it much simpler for a patient, a family member or carer to ensure that medication is taken when it’s supposed to be in the correct dosage.
"We're already seeing how this system helps people remain in their own homes, and continue to live independently," he adds.
Joe is very proud that everyone at Britton's carries on his father's ethos of providing a professional, personalised service.
"When it comes to your health, especially, it's important to have a relationship of trust. That is why our customers have access to me personally, seven days a week. It's always been at the core of what we do, and I think it’s something that even big businesses are starting to really understand the importance of."
