Do you brace or tuck in your belly a lot? ๐ค It's NOT a good thing for your core!
That constant tension can make your muscles feel more stiff, achy and tired. That's the exact opposite of a strong, flexible & healthy core!
It can also contribute to back pain, constipation, leaking, prolapse, and interfers with pelvic floor, back & hip function ๐ฒ.
The "brace your core to protect your back and strengthen your muscles" myth is so wide spread (but not true + rather counter productive), and many people need to learn to let go of that excessive tension and constant bracing first.
I love the 3 moves in the above video:
โ They create awareness for all parts of your core (not just your abs!)
โ Plus, they help relax muscles & stretch out tension.
A relaxed muscle can contract much better when it's challenged. It's the prerequisite for building strength ๐ช.
