A huge Go Raibh Maith Agaibh to the pupils and teachers of Scoil Náisiúnta Réidh na nDóirí who raised a fantastic €450 at their dress up/dress down day in aid of Mercy Heroes 👏👏

One of our own Mercy Heroes, Antóin Cremin, took time out to visit the school and thank them on behalf of the Mercy Foundation.

The funds rasied by Scoil Réidh na nDóirí will fund advanced care and hope for patients and their families. Thank you!

Christmas morning looked a little different in Carrigaline this year. While most of us were wrapped up warm, Eugene O’Donnell and a group of friends and family were heading straight for the sea 🌊

Braving the cold temperatures, they came together for a Christmas swim for a cause close to their hearts!

Eugene recently visited us the Mercy Foundation to present a donation of €1535, raised through his festive swim collection. Every euro raised will support men’s health in the Mercy, helping to fund advanced care and offering hope to patients and their families when they need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to Eugene, to everyone who joined him and to all who supported ❤️

“Mercy University Hospital believes that the care delivered to patients and their families at end-of-life, should be the same care that we would give to our own family and loved ones."

An article recently published in the EchoLive.ie highlighted the importance of compassionate, patient-centred care at the Mercy University Hospital throughout every stage of life.

The Mercy Foundation is proud to support the hospital’s work by funding vital equipment, services and supports that help enhance patient care - made possible through the generosity of our donors, volunteers and community.

“Cancer does not discriminate, with one in two of us being directly impacted over the course of our lives. It is an honour to take up this position and to have this opportunity to strengthen psychological support within cancer care, ensuring people have access to timely, skilled, and compassionate psychological help at some of the most challenging moments in their lives.” - Dr Jennifer Hayes.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Jennifer Hayes as Consulting Clinical Psychologist in the Mercy Foundation’s Cancer Care Centre on D**e Parade, Cork.

Embedded within the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the Mercy University Hospital Cork, and as a member of the hospital’s multidisciplinary oncology teams, Dr Hayes will lead the development and delivery of the psycho-oncology service. She will support patients undergoing treatment for cancer, along with their families, through the significant psychological challenges they may face.
