GINGKO - MIND & BODY WELLNESS
Learn about the physiology of your body and increase your mind-body connection with slow motion fitness. The movements are based on the Eastern discipline of Qigong. They train the body internally whilst barely exerting the body externally; working on the intrinsic muscles, the internal organs and the fascia of the body. The benefits include increased flexibility, toned muscles, improved organ systems, a calm nervous system, and a calm heart and mind. After a couple of weeks of practice you will notice, your health and wellbeing has improved and over the longterm you will know intuitively when your body is out of balance and you will have the knowledge and tools to regulate your body’s needs.
Classes are suitable for people of any age and any fitness level. This system is flexible enough to suit anybody and you can take it as hard or as soft as you need. It is ideal for those who want to explore fitness for health’s sake and for those who would like to achieve greater mental focus and a sense of quietude. Like any discipline the more practice you put into it the more you get from it. Practice becomes a way of life.
Mixed Form classes are a mix of cardio, HIIT, shadow boxing and pad work, body weight exercises, isometric challenges, partnered drills, dynamic and static stretching and more.
These classes are suitable for over 40s+ and especially for those who like to sweat and push themselves.
