My new Yoga term is starting up again in September.

These classes are suitable for people who have mobility/flexibility issues or are recovering from illness or injury. The class is slower paced, you can use props or a chair, bring your own weights or add stretch bands to make the class more accessible for yourself or to challenge yourself.

This Yoga class is a hybrid class. You’ll enjoy elements from mindfulness, Hatha & Yin Yoga to menopause Yoga and Yoga for bone health.

My classes are from 11-12 on
Thurs 4 Sept in Carrigaline Court Hotel
Fri 5 Sept in Douglas Yoga Centre
Sat 6 Sept in Carrigaline Court Hotel

Due to costs rising I have decided to lower my fee.
5 classes for €50 or PAYG €12.

If you’d like more information or wish to reserve a place please send me a private message. See you soon.

Let me know if you wish to come along next time. Different day/time/location each time.

The simplest of moments can be filled with magic. It was a lovely nature walk for lovely ladies. Nearly two hours of walking and roughly ten thousand steps later we are more relaxed, feel emotionally supported and nourished and of course we are a little more content (and wise!).

Tomorrow I am going on a mindfulness nature walk (Carrigaline area). Would you like to join me and the group? DM me if you want more information.

Be in nature with like minded people, bring your camera, wear good shoes/sunscreen, bring rain gear, a small drink, your dog. Let’s share our knowledge of shrubs, trees, birds etc. Tell each other what’s on our mind, old stories and laugh about jokes.

I hope you can join us. This walk is free and at your risk. We all take responsibility for ourselves to, during and fro.

So many reasons to do Yoga but for me this is the main one. If you still think that Yoga is only about serenity, flexibility, looking beautiful (and skinny) in matching Lululemon gear then please reconsider!

My Yoga classes centre around strength, balance, mobility, proprioception, muscle strength, bone health, mindfulness and of course fun and laughter. Friendship too plays a big part when it comes to ageing.

My new term starts in September. If you’d like to be invited to try out a class in August please DM me.

Starting Yoga

When I started Yoga for the very first time all those years ago it was a very different time. The internet was only just getting started and social media was non-excisting. I knew what I was getting myself into and didn’t have any grand expectations. I didn’t expect Yoga to make me more flexible, Zen, or even spiritual. All I knew was that I was going to move my body in a better way and learn new ways to use my breath to calm my nerves and overcome any anxiety. You see, it was pregnancy yoga that got me started 19 years ago. I think that these days it is tougher for people to bite the bullet and start yoga. Social media is awash with beautiful young, strong and flexible bodies doing all sorts of interesting contortions. That can be really intimidating if you feel you aren’t anything like that. I sure wasn’t a gymnast in the making back then and still today I have no desire to do head stands or place my feet behind my head.

When you do a yoga class with me you get a different experience every week. We are all individuals and need different things at different times. With other people sharing the class with you how could the class be the same week in week out? There is a class format though. We are all different with different capabilities. In my class you are always encouraged to only move within your own range of mobility. You never have to make a shape that resembles the perfect pose. And even though we move at a slower pace it doesn’t mean that you aren’t working hard. Bring a little towel to class and a bottle of water because you will be working up a sweat. I look forward to welcoming you to an hour of yoga with me. An hour you will not regret.
