With my due date getting closer over the next few months, the 4-class pass is no longer available for now.

I roll out my mat
and take a breath.
My body feels different,
full and warm.

I move more slowly now,
listening instead of pushing.
My hips open,
my back softens,
my hands rest on my belly.

Sometimes I’m strong,
sometimes I wobble,
and both are okay.

I breathe in space,
I breathe out tension.
I make room for my baby,
and for myself.

Countdown to Christmas talking about ABS in pregnancy!

There’s no need to fear ab training during pregnancy—when done correctly, it’s not only safe but incredibly beneficial for you and your growing baby! 💪
Many moms-to-be worry about whether it’s okay to work their core, but the truth is that training your abs during pregnancy plays a vital role in supporting your body through all the incredible changes it’s experiencing.

First and foremost, building strength in your core, especially in the deeper muscles like the transverse abdominis, helps improve stability and balance. A strong core supports your spine and pelvis, which means better posture and a reduced risk of back pain as your belly grows. 🌟

Even more importantly, strengthening your abs can improve pelvic floor support—this is key for bladder and bowel control and helps prevent issues like urinary incontinence, which can be common during pregnancy. When your pelvic floor and core work together harmoniously, it also lays the foundation for a smoother recovery postpartum. 🫶

The best part? You don’t need an intense workout to reap the benefits. A short but intentional ab routine, combined with proper breathing techniques, helps regulate abdominal pressure and ensures your core and pelvic floor are working together as a team.

Countdown to Christmas!!

There’s a reason why I don’t like to call it a 'birth plan,' and that’s simply because you can’t plan your birth!

You can be prepared, organized, and hopeful, but you can’t predict your birth at the end of the day. What you can do, though, is be informed and understand your options for birth.

A birth preference document can help with exactly this. There are plenty of templates on Google, and your hospital might also have one on their website.

With that, you can start asking yourself—and each other, if you’re doing this with your partner—what you would like or would like to avoid during your birth.

Just make sure to keep it short and sweet. You don’t want your provider to spend ages going through pages and pages, so focus on writing down only the most important details. 😉

Day 3 of the countdown to Christmas all about birth! 🎄

What we see in movies is often (thankfully!) not true when it comes to giving birth in the hospital.

What we usually see are women forced to lie on their backs on the bed without any option to move or change position.

However, this has changed in recent years, and if you know how to move, you can significantly help your baby be born.

Take a look at my previous posts to learn about the A UFO method and how to use gravity in the best possible way, whether you choose an epidural or go drug-free.

Movement brings improvement, and ideally, you want to change positions every 20-30 minutes, especially if labor seems to slow down or stall.

When mom moves, baby moves too, and this should not be underestimated!

That said, if you are comfortable on your back on the bed, just go for it—just make sure it’s your choice.
