As clinics owners, we are up at night and shaking our heads at governments denying essential health care to our patients. We are the ones getting the calls/the emails, the cries for help. When the news of pandemic hit, I contacted the only Turkish grocer I know in Ireland and asked what’s the maximum number of kolonya bottles he is willing to sell. Here in Cork, in every room of our home, including the guest room, we have kolonya. We always travelled with kolonya before the pandemic. We made sure to have some available for patient use before we closed the clinic. It’s partly cultural, partly wellness lifestyle for us. -We’ve launched our new digital clinic newsletter. At the moment, it is being sent to clinic patients only, but is in process of being extended to everyone.

-We’ve launched a new website for Dr Tim: www.DrTimJaeger.com . It is in it’s early stages at the moment. 🎯

-We’ve launched a new page for Dr Tim: www.facebook.com/DrTimJaeger 👍

How is this different from our existing www.facebook.com/TotalHealthCork page? It will cover more than Chiropractic. Some posts may be re-posted on our Chiropractic page, some will not. You can like both pages to make sure you don’t miss out on any important posts. 👍👍

-We always intended to interact with patients remotely but hadn’t had the time to set up everything. Well, our home office just became a recording studio with professional lights, professional microphone 🎤🎙 🎧, high def cameras 🎥📷 and even a green screen! Now we need to learn how to use the equipment! As we said, we want to stay in touch and we weren’t kidding about that. 🎬

-We are still doing everything in our power to allow Chiropractors to be able to see emergency/acute patients. We have remained closed due to the lack of government clarity on the matter. We receive calls ☎️📞 and emails every day from patients in need of care. Some patients are having a more difficult time than others. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

-On a side note, we are planting edibles, learning how to raise chickens 🐓😊 and continuing to focus on creative projects from home. 🧿 Needless to say, we are both growing our hair 💈and are in much need of developing skills in this area. 😂

☎️📢We continue to do our best to open as soon as we can. We receive calls and emails every day. Our patients have been approaching their local TDs, they want us to be added on the Essential Services list, as is the case in many other countries. Our colleagues in other countries are shaking their heads in disbelief that we are closed. Although I (Asli) do not consume dairy, I strongly believe in the Turkish saying: they don't give milk to a baby who doesn't cry. The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) wrote to Homeland Security earlier in March, urging the agency to include chiropractors in the list of essential healthcare providers. In it, ACA emphasized that, “Chiropractors are primary-contact healthcare providers who provide essential care, including (but not limited to) managing acute and urgent musculoskeletal conditions.…These services are critical for managing cases that otherwise could end up in emergency rooms, worsening an already difficult situation.” Within 4 days, Chiropractors were included as essential services. The ACA president then added that “Homeland Security’s decision to include chiropractors on the list of essential healthcare workers is validation of the important role they play in enhancing the health and function of their patients, who in turn often work in industries that are critical to local communities”.

I🎤🎧🎯n the USA, the Federal government has deemed Chiropractic care essential. In Ireland, our Chief Medical Officer who has admitted he doesn't know what chiropractors do is surprised that more people aren't going to the hospital for any acute issues right now as he checked in himself from side effects of his medication, during a pandemic. Some patients like you have taken it upon themselves to raise concern over why chiropractic hasn't been added to the essential services list as is the case in other countries. 📰 🗞Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, our chiropractic association has recommended chiropractors temporarily close their clinics as of end of day Monday, 23 March 2020. Total Health Chiropracitc Wellness Clinic will be temporarily closed for this week. We will be re-evaluating this decision week by week.

📧 Make sure we have your most up to date email. We have emailed, posted and given letters to all patients that were originally booked in for this week. We can send you a copy. We intend to stay in touch via email with all our patients. 📩

🧚‍♀️We are still coordinating supplement shipments and may be able to arrange collections. 📨
