Predeceased by his son Patrick, his sisters Mary and Eileen and brother Tony. Beloved husband of Mary and loving Dad of Dermot, Matthew and Mary. Sadly missed by his wife and family, grandchildren Sarah, Roisin, Thomas, Aoife, Ronan and Shane, daughter-in-law Deirdre, Mary’s partner Mick, his sisters and brothers Angela, Bernie, Patsy and Willie, extended family and friends.

Bernadette McCarthy (née McCafferty) of Sligo, Santry and Bettystown passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025 surrounded by her devoted family, under the compassionate care of the staff at AnovoCare Nursing Home, Swords. Loving wife of the late Michael, wonderful mother and mother-in-law to Eva, Alice, Michael, Bernadette, David (predeceased), Alf, Jacqueline, and Toni. Active member of the Sacred Heart Parish, Laytown and founder of the East Meath Active Retirement Association (EMARA). Sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and neighbours.
