Last Saturday we said a goodbye to our Play Skills Summer Camp 🎉 What a journey it has been!

From sensory water play 💦 to pretending hairdressers ✂️, face painting 🎨 and free play, children explored, learned, and laughed together. Each activity was carefully guided by our therapists – turning fun into opportunities for growth in social, emotional, and everyday skills.

To every parent: thank you for trusting us with your little ones. 💛 We hope they left with wonderful memories, new strengths, and friendships that last beyond camp.

This was our last day of camp for summer, but not the end – we look forward to welcoming more children to future groups and camps.

✨ Thank you for being part of our Sensory Space family.

One of our clients recently shared something deeply moving: “What could be my life’s purpose? Is there a reason I have these two beautiful, unique souls?”

If you’ve ever whispered “Why me?” on this journey, you’re not alone. Parenting children with additional needs is filled with challenges — but also with profound love, lessons, and purpose. 💙

In one of our blogs, we explore how daily struggles can become gateways to growth, strength, and meaning — reminding parents that their purpose is not hidden, but lived every day.

When a child receives a diagnosis, many parents are left feeling overwhelmed.
One quiet thought often echoes:
“Why me?”

But what if your child chose you — exactly because of who you are?

You’re not here by accident.
You’re patient. You’re resilient.
You’ve learned to navigate meltdowns, manage routines, and fight for support your child deserves.
You’re doing an extraordinary job — even when it feels impossibly hard.

At Sensory Space, we see you.
And when you’re ready, we’re here to support you and your child — with understanding, expert care, and a space that feels like home.

🌍✨ A truly meaningful and inspiring week at Sensory Space!

We had the honour of welcoming a wonderful delegation from Lithuania, who came to Ireland to deepen their knowledge of inclusive education through both theory and international best practice.

Over an intensive 40-hour training programme, we explored the principles of inclusion, and visited two outstanding schools in Drogheda — St Ita's Special School and Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa in Bettystown. We are so grateful to the staff for sharing their valuable experience and giving us a closer look at how inclusive education can work in practice.

Our Lithuanian guests left with a wealth of ideas, inspiration, and practical insights, which will help them shape inclusive education for exceptional children back home in Lithuania.

One key message resonated with us all: only by working together — therapists, parents, educators, and the entire community — can we support every child to reach their full potential, feel included, and be truly happy.❤️

Special thanks to our guests from Lithuania:
• Violeta Riaukienė – Vice-Mayor of Klaipėda District Municipality
• Aistė Vinkuvienė – Deputy Director for Education, Speech and Language Therapist, Senior Special Education Teacher, Priekules Ievos Simonaitytes Gymnasium
• Vilija Lukauskienė – Principal of Gargždai "Krantas" Progymnasium
• Irena Barbšienė – Chief Specialist (Preschool, Pre-primary, Primary and Special Education), Department of Education and Sports, Municipality of Klaipėda District
• Toma Stonkė – Inter-institutional Cooperation Coordinator, Municipality of Klaipėda District
• Nomeda Skliuderienė – Methodologist, Klaipėda District Education Centre

Thank you for your trust and collaboration — we are looking forward to seeing how our shared experiences will continue to grow and make a difference! 🌱Agne Guste Jurgita Pakste

From February 2020, Our brand New Therapy Center will open in Drogheda!

We will have qualified and experienced specialists - Psychologist, Play therapist and Speech and Language therapist - working individually and in groups with our children, adolescents and their siblings. The center will be equipped with an amazing sensory room, which will not only be used to calm or stimulate different senses. It will focus on improving language and social skills. We will also have a very cosy coffee and tea space for parents so they can relax and enjoy their time while our specialists will be working with the children.
