𝐍𝐨 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤!!⁣

When it comes to rehab of big injuries, performance work etc if you're not testing certain things you're only guessing and making assumptions... so realistically, doing f*ck all!⁣

Especially with big knee injuries! Timescale landmarks are a big thing in ACL rehab i.e at 3 months you return to running...⁣
However, if you've a big leg strength difference at 3 months do you really think its time to get back running?⁣
You're on 1 leg all of the time when running. If one leg is not strong enough to tolerate that load and you're repetitively loading it with each stride you take you're not doing yourself any favours.⁣

Testing shows the direction you're moving in and helps guide your programming 👊⁣

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫?⁣⁣Start with nailing these 3 non-negotiables and you'll be in a great position!!

Extremely satisfying max stength test day with the trap bar! Considering the left leg is still alot weaker then the right, it makes the weight achieved all the more surprising 👌⁣

Is max strength testing a necessity? Absolutley not!⁣
Is it very enjoyable? Absofu**inglootly⁣

The goal to hit a 200kg is now set as the rehab progresses! 👊

Fantastic upper body exercise to add into your strength sessions!⁣
There are numerous benefits from this exercise from a stability standpoint and a strength point of view!⁣

Being really strong under a kettlebell in this position is a real sign of a good strong shoulder joint 👊⁣

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡! ⁣

Single leg box squats are going to be an important aspect of my knee rehab!⁣
Quad strength is vital for ACL rehab, and while I am still left a bit in the unknown with regards to what the full damage of the knee is, I'm treating it as if it's a full ACL rupture!⁣

Rehab is going to be task and goal specific rather than time based, which all rehab should be edging towards now.⁣

Planned running won't be programmed until quad strength is equal to the uninjured side.⁣
Running on a leg that isn't strong enough after a knee injury is absolutle madness... ⁣

However the strength standard of the uninjured leg is also now not good enough. My previous standard of quad strength has to be blown out of the park (both injured and uninjured quad) if I have any chance of recovering without the need for surgery!⁣
