Our residents had a fun day at our blind food tasting on Saturday as part of nursing homes week ( a taste of home ).They tried guessing by taste only what they were eating ,such a giggle. Later on they discovered flavours from around the world as our staff brought in there traditional dishes for all to taste .
This afternoon we finished off a great week with our Sweet Sunday Vintage tea party with lots of delicious cakes , buns & apple tarts .

What a day from start to finish
We were back on the farm with all the animals, sheep, Alpacas ,Goats , a donkey ,a Shetland pony & 2 week old chicks. The smiles on all the residents as faces said it all & the sun shone down on us which even made it better.
In the afternoon we all enjoyed Ice-cream in the sun ,happy days

Our 2nd day of celebrations for Nursing homes week & it was all about Sound .
Ola joined us for a sound healing therapy which was a new experience for all of us . Our residents really embraced the power of sound & the healing it brings to the body & mind .
This afternoon it was the Sound of the Samba drums as Kieran guided us to play the different drums & what joy & laughter he brought to our residents .

A great start to Nursing Homes Week as Betty Caffery shared her awarding winning brown bread recipe with us . This brought back such memories for our residents as they shared stories of cooking & baking at home with their families .
The best part was in the tasting of the bread & Betty brought in with her homemade raspberry jam , nothing as nice as bread & jam .
This afternoon we were treated to a fantastic harp recital with the super talented Luke Webb . He entertained all with a selection of classical and modern pieces , such a great way to finish a perfect day .
