🌼🐝 Exciting News from Sunhill Nursing Home ! 🐝🌼

Nominations are now OPEN for our 4th Annual DAISY Awards — our beloved programme honouring the extraordinary nurses who care for your loved ones every single day with compassion, care and dedication.

But this year we have something very special to announce… 🎉

Evergreen Care is proud to introduce The BEE Award — Being Excellent Every Day, continuing our tradition as the only group implementing Daisy 🐝

Just like a daisy can’t survive without a bee, our nurses couldn’t do what they do without the incredible support of our whole team — our care assistants, household, catering, laundry, reception, admin, maintenance, activities staff and so many more. The BEE Award recognises these extraordinary team members who go above and beyond every day to make Sunhill a wonderful home for your loved ones.

Every DAISY needs a BEE! 🌼🐝

📅 Both awards will be presented on Wednesday 17th June 2026 at 12pm
📋 Nominations close 8th June 2026

To nominate, simply ask for a paper form at reception or pick one up from the nomination box on each unit at the notice board.

If someone at Sunhill has made a difference to your loved one — whether it’s a nurse, a care assistant, the person who brings the meals, or the lovely smile that greets you at the door — we want to hear about them!

We were delighted to welcome Sinead O Reilly from SC Johnson to join us ,in raising awareness around hand hygiene, a cornerstone of safe, quality care for our residents as part of World Hand Hygiene day.
A huge well done to all our staff and residents who got involved, with some truly exceptional technique on display. Special recognition goes to our dedicated Hand Hygiene Champions in each department, your commitment to best practice makes all the difference every single day.

Sonas group sessions are proving a great hit with our residents here in Sunhill.
We engage with the residents through their senses, sight ,hearing , taste ,touch & smell, using music ,songs & exercise.Such wonderful positive interactions which are truly heart warming. Engaging Dementia
