Do you suffer from muscle cramps?
Usually this is a sign of dehydration , so if water isn't fixing the issue , your body is lacking in certain vitamins and minerals.
Here are a few foods to pack into your diet if you are struggling:
1. Sweet potato π₯. As well as being tasty and a handy way to get carbs in, it's full of calcium and magnesium which helps relax the muscles when fatigued.
2. Eat more greens. Broccoli π₯¦ spinach and asparagus are great. Adding these instead of other veggies will add more calcium and magnesium also. The leader the better!
3. Orange juice / oranges/ bananas. Full of potassium and also contribute to heart health
4. Watermelon π. So juicy and thirsty quenching is perfect for rehydration of the muscles.
5. Avocado π₯ is full of potassium. Potassium is an essential mineral and electrolyte that not only helps with spasms but regulates fluid and is also great for reducing blood pressure.
6. Tomatoes π
. Again packed with potassium. Slide into your salad or sandwich for extra taste.
7. Milk. Full of protein, calcium which helps with muscle tissue repair.
8. Nuts & seeds . Another great source of magnesium which helps relax the muscles and the brain.
