☀️ Cranio sacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on treatment that comes from osteopathy. Therapist use light touch to assess and influence the movement of fluids bones and tissues in and around the central nervous system. CST is based on the idea that the craniosacral system has its own subtle rhythm. By lightly palpating the skull, spine and sacrum, therapists aim to release restrictions in the system, improving the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.

☀️ A central nervous system that is unbalanced or out of sync can often leave us feeling unsettled and we may find it difficult to get to sleep at nighttime. Issues around falling asleep or staying asleep can often come back to the central nervous system being unbalanced or unregulated.. A craniosacral session can regulate the central nervous system, allowing it to calm, reset and restore. Allowing us to feel more grounded, settled, have a better nights sleep.

☀️ A central nervous system that is holding onto shock or stuck in fight or flight can cause feelings of stress and anxiety. It can leave us feeling unsettled and unable to rest, which can then cause an unrelaxed mind and an unclear thought process. By supporting and regulating the central nervous system you will feel a sense of lightness, calmness, more focused and a relaxed body and mind.

☀️ In everyday life we can feel fatigued or burnt out. The cranial system is a rhythmic system that flows between our head and pelvic area. If we are feeling fatigued, unwell or burnt out the rhythm can be sluggish and slow. By listening into, releasing any blockages and supporting our central nervous system we can help regulate it leaving you feeling lighter, more focused, relaxed and more energetic.

☀️Cranial Therapy for Adults
Cranial Therapy works great for a lot of problems that come along with pain and dysfunction. This treatment supports the body’s own healing abilities. It calms the central nervous system. It can access and release areas of tension or trauma that are held in the tissues of the body, regardless of how long they have been there. Very often, physical complaints may have complex origins, sometimes including an emotional component, that craniosacral therapy can access and release.

☀️What is the cranial system?
The system consists of the brain, spinal cord, the cerebral spinal fluid and all its attachments, otherwise known as the central nervous system. These membranes consist of fascia which surrounds and connects every structure in the body. Any imbalances in the cranial system potentially affects the structure and function of any of the body’s systems leading to pain, dysfunction and disease.
