-🌿 A unique way of having a sauna bath - bringing old traditions back to life🌿 The old legend says that even - Life and Death meets in the sauna for a chat.

Originally, a primal function of the Sauna was related to washing and cleaning yourself, but there always was something more to it – something sacred and transcendental. Because the Sauna is a sterile environment, in old times, women used to give birth in saunas and people close to death, were brought in, to enjoy the pleasant environment for the last time in their life. In the last few decades sauna culture has grown so vastly and boundlessly – almost turning it in to a magical and mystical place where Mind Body and Spirit are united through four main forces of nature (Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth) in order to make a person who uses it healthier, happier, and of course cleaner inside out. Meet our team:
Andrew – Lithuanian Sauna (Pirtis) practitioner and enthusiast who uses sauna once or twice a week for more than ten years now. He holds a broad knowledge of Lithuanian sauna traditions. He has traveled and lived with different Sauna Masters and learned from their skill and practice all over Lithuania. Andrew is an enthusiast on beneficial use of Essential Oils and Natural Herbal Therapies in sauna. His line of expertise lies with healthy sauna infusions and body scrubs using rock salt and other secret ingredients. Emil – Eastern European sauna tradition enthusiast with over ten years of experience in using a sauna. Self-taught and self-made sauna branch (Vanta) master masseur – who warms, massages, and cleans the body using branches of different trees for multiple health benefits. Basic technique learned in early age has helped him to develop his unique style sauna ceremony which was learned to perfection while practicing on his family and friends for over 15 years. In partnership with Moibiba Ireland Official we now offer a unique 3-4 hour sauna sessions in the place of your preference (with an option of numerous locations beside natural water resources that we can bring you to, as our mobile sauna tents are designed to be quickly and rapidly set up and taken down at any location needed). Four Hour Session Combines -
Welcome Drinks – Natural Herbal Infusion Loose Leaf Tea (to warm yourself inside and prepare the body for use of Sauna)
For the best experience possible we will take you through - Do’s and Don’ts of ceremony and waiver agreement. In first session inside the tent – you will be introduced to a warm, moist, and pleasant environment. We will treat you with a thick, warm, misty steam infused with natural herbal and essential oil aromas in order to harmonize your senses and restore energies within. When we are warm and relaxed enough, we will take a break outside the sauna and reflect on our experience inside, while enjoying a breath of fresh air. After a break we will return for the second session - during which we will sit and pour some more water on the stones allowing the pores on our skin to open, releasing oily toxins and everything we don’t need outside. When our bodies are warm enough, we will lay you down on benches and use rock salt mixes to scrub your body from head to toes cleaning away that outer layer of dead skin and toxic particles away from your bodies. After we have finished, we will leave you lying for a little longer, just to relax and let salt particles to work their magics of muscle relaxation and skin detox. The third part of the ceremony will include group heat massage using tree branches to heat you bodies to a maximum and to warm your skin and most important parts of your bodies like joins, spine, and feet – which will follow with cold water procedures (dip in the sea, river, bucket of cold water or just a cold-water stream from a hose) – and total relaxation by lying on the ground, face up looking at the sky and experiencing a natural state of happiness. Our team is dedicated to bringing you an exclusive and unforgettable experience which hopefully will bring out a sauna lover in you.

📅 Rugsėjo 6–7 d. kviečiame į įvadinį „Šeimos pirtininko kursą“ Kilkeny apskrityje (Crosspatrick).
Tai ne paprastas pabuvimas pirtyje – čia kartu mokysimės tradicinės Sveikos pirties ABC: garas, akmuo, vanta, vanduo... Išbandysime tikrą, holistinę pirties procedūrą, kokią mūsų senoliai laikė šeimos ir bendruomenės šventumu.

Lietuviškos pirties unikalumas
Tradicinė pirtis – tai daugiau nei šiluma. Ji jungia keturis metų laikus vienoje erdvėje:

Kodėl verta?

Jau po pirmo savaitgalio galėsite drauge su šeima pažymėti Šeimos pirties dieną (rugsėjo pabaigoje) – oficialią šventę, skirtą puoselėti pirties tradiciją.

Kursas tęsis ir toliau – Spalio 4–5 d. bei Lapkričio 8–9 d.. Dalyvaudami visuose trijuose savaitgaliuose, galėsite pilnai užbaigti „Šeimos pirtininko kursą“, kurį jau yra baigusios daugelis lietuvių šeimų.

Įgysite žinių ir praktikos, kurios padės ne tik mėgautis pirtimi, bet ir pasirūpinti artimaisiais – nuo pirmo garo iki vanojimo paslapčių.

Vieta: privati pirtis Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny (tiksli vieta atsiųsime užsiregistravusiems).
👨‍👩‍👧 Seminaras skirtas visiems – vieniems, poroms ar šeimoms. Nesvarbu, ar dažnai lankotės pirtyje, ar tik svajojate pabandyti – tai bus puiki pradžia.
Atmosfera draugiška, kartu dalyvaus keli prisiekę pirties mylėtojai – tad laukia ir neformalus bendravimas.

Apie pirtį, beveik kaip apie krepšinį, lietuviai žino beveik viską. Nieko nuostabaus - pirties lankymo tradicija 2019 m. buvo įtraukta į Nematerialaus kultūros paveldo sąvadą (kaip, ir, pvz., Kūčios ar verbos). Taigi tai yra dalykas, kuriuo galime didžiuotis ir kurį bent kiek išmanyti...

I got very lucky to spend an amazing weekend at the ATN festival.
My old friend Shirley from Bosca Beatha and legendary brothers Peter and from have collaborated to bring saunas to the festival and invited me to play and show some of Lithuanian bathing culture (Pirtis) at their Yurt sauna. I was amazed by the feedback and shining faces full of joy and excitement.

One of the bonuses when picking your sauna whisks in the woods are: you can find wild mushrooms too.
This time it was a few batches of Chanterelles.
Great in a sauce with chicken, fillet, dill and cream, served over Irish seasonal spuds😄😋🍀🍄🍄🍄
