What a truly amazing afternoon we had at our Remembrance Service! It was so lovely to catch up with everyone, and the afternoon was filled with both emotion and heartwarming moments. 🙏
A huge thank you to Fr. Eugene for his beautiful service, our talented singer Michelle Delmar Soloist-Wedding Singer of The Year 2025 , all our readers, and especially to the families who took the time to come together in memory of their loved ones. ❤️ It meant the world to us. 🙏

We'd love to share an amazing day we had here in Maryfield! Our multi-cultural day with staff and residents was a truly unforgettable experience. A huge thanks to all our amazing staff who brought in a delicious variety of home-cooked food! It was a day filled with laughter, cheer, and the joy of sharing. At Maryfield, we hosted a fantastic evening get-together on Friday, October 24th, with residents, families, and staff. We enjoyed a lively quiz night led by our quiz master, Darren, who challenged us with questions from various topics. The night was filled with laughter, conversation, and cheer! Congratulations to our winners, the Fingal Flyers, and to everyone who participated. We look forward to our next social with you all. 👏🥳📚📖❓

Throwback to a truly special day! ✨ On October 8th, we celebrated The Jubilee of Consecrated Life, honoring all those in Consecrated Life who enrich our community. We enjoyed a beautiful mass led by Fr. Pius, accompanied by the wonderful harpist Sinead. It was followed by a heartwarming meal filled with shared experiences and laughter—a true family celebration. ❤️🕯️🎉

Our wonderful residents here in Maryfield enjoyed making flower and candle arrangements for our tables and church to celebrate The Jubilee of Consecrated Life, they did a wonderful job and we’re so happy to see there work displayed for the celebration 🌷🕯️❤️

We had an incredible week here at Maryfield ! 🎉 We hired a bus and went on nearly two trips a day. It was fantastic to see everyone so eager to get out and about, coats on and ready for adventure! We enjoyed local trips to the Phoenix Park and Memorial Gardens, plus visits to The Coach House , Stewarts in Palmerstown for delicious cappuccinos and cakes, Staff were amazing. We even ventured up the mountains to foxes,Bray, Donabate Shoreline Hotel and Powerscourt Waterfalls! It was a truly amazing week, filled with fun, laughter, and wonderful memories. Enjoy all our wonderful photos ❤️

Creativity and connection are flourishing! Our residents are loving their art sessions, working alongside our dedicated activity staff. Big thanks to Mary, our amazing volunteer, for her help with card-making. This week's art class at Ballyfermot Library Library was a real highlight. We're so proud of all the artwork and the joy it brings ❤️

What a fantastic end to our "Taste of home" celebrations, "Go raibh maith agat" to our wounderfull Residents, families and staff who all made it such a special week, we are so thankful to each and everyone of you, bualadh bos

DAY 4 AND 5 of our celebrations were a big hit, we started off our Friday morning with a Yoga class out in the fresh air followed by lovely treats from Rachel, then a delicious hearty dinner and mouthwatering deserts and of course a glass of wine 🍷 😀 to finish of our day we had Irish traditional music with our wounderfull Benny we sang and danced and had delicious Irish coffees 🍷great time was had by all 🎼🎼🎼🎼 Saturday we ended our celebrations reminiscing with a cup of tea and slice of brack , delicious 😋 our afternoon was filled with laughter and some serious Bingo followed by sing song and ice cream !!

Day 3 and 4 of our Taste from Home celebrations were a huge success!
We've been having so much fun with staff, residents, and families!
Day 3: We had a lovely Sonas session, keeping with the theme of food. Our smell of the day was lime, basil, and mandarin lotion, and the taste was caramel salted chocolate – a big hit with everyone! We carried on the afternoon with the Wolf Tones, dancing and playing instruments.
Day 4: This morning, residents enjoyed buttering their own pancakes and soda bread, reminiscing about the good old days. Our afternoon was a wonderful sing-song with Rose, followed by a story from Sr. Theresa all about Boxty, the traditional potato cake. Of course, we had a taste of boxty too!.....

Day 1 and 2 of our 'Taste of Home' celebrations have been a hit! From wonderful reminiscence sessions, filled with laughter and stories, followed by delicious hearty Irish meals that warmed us from the inside out. We've been enjoying sweet and savoury activities and even a live baking demonstration, the smell of freshly baked scones brought us all back to cooking at home, to mammy's cooking, family moments, and neighbours sharing recipes. It really has been so heartwarming. "Sharing a meal is a way of sharing life." Stay tuned for more updates! "
