The role of the Health Care Assistant is to assist in provision of care and work as part of multi-Disciplinary Team to achieve high standards of care and excellence in quality of life. To ensure Residents retain their dignity and individuality. To be involved in the general and scheduled activities of the Nursing Home. To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Team player
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
• Must attend all Mandatory Training

Desired:
• Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved / working towards)
• Experience of working with the relevant Resident group.

Full Fetac level 5 or equivalent essential and have recent experience working in nursing homes.
Benefits: 23 days annual leave.
Paid Maternity leave after 2 years service.
Employer will match your Pension Contributions to a max 5% pension after 6 months.
Duties, providing person centered care for residents, taking care of their activities of daily living. Ensuring all infection and control measures are adhered too. (Full job description available on request).
