I love sharing with you what your fellow yogis have experienced from the practice. A sincere thanks to those of you who took time to write to me.

If experience on the yoga mat is what you feel could help bring some balance to your week, we are back on the mat tomorrow night and on Thursday with two different practice. Tuesdays might suit if you are looking for feeling your body in the way of strength, flow and movement. Thursdays if stillness and recovery is what is needed.

Interested in joining me for the Reykjavik Yoga City Break but not sure if I am the right yoga teacher for you? Maybe you would like to actually meet the person who is leading this adventure before committing or have a couple of questions to ask so you can make up your mind?

I understand it can be hard to decide wether to join a retreat like this one, in particular if you haven’t met the person or practiced with the yoga teacher before. It feels like this year has barely started, and then it is coming to an end.

Stepping on the mat in September after more than a half a year away was nerve racking, as it always is when I am taking a break. ´Will they come back? Will people remember?´.

From the bottom of my heart, those of you who continuously show up, those of you who trusted me with your first yoga experience, those of you who came back after time away - thank you thank you thank you.

It is only because of you that I am able to embark on this dream, this path of continuously creating spaces for people to move their body, breathe, stop and be still, to learn to listen within and to start to understand their deeper more subtler embodied language. I truly believe that from that space becomes immense inner power to be more fully yourself in a world that might often require you to be less.

I am excited to see what 2026 has in store and I already have a list of a few things I want to draw into light. I am finally going to bark upon an digital venture with a website and online offerings as the goal. Those of you frequenting my classes will know I often(always!) run over, so you will see longer offerings popping up - The Reykjavik Yoga City Break being one of them, but a weekend Fascia Deep Dive being another one that is particularly pulling on my heart strings of imagination at the moment, as is Innsæi, a Fascia Workshop on Intuition and the art of listening within.

Take care of yourself, and your neighbour, for the next couple of weeks. This is a season of wonderful things but can be heavy for many for many reasons. Create time for laughter, intimacy, solitude, magic and the mundane in equal measures. I look forward to meeting you on the mat in the New Year! ❤️🙏

🌟Open Hatha Flow🌟

A practice where we focus on the relationship between the body and the breath, helping you to develop both flexibility and strength whilst introducing mindful concepts and relaxation. Each class will have a stand alone focus but also link into each other to benefit those who are looking for a course-like experience and want to commit to a regular practice. 🌟The Deep Release🌟

A 6 weeks course where each class will feature a section where the application of balls and props will be used to apply acupressure in particular areas of the body (self-directed massage), followed by a yin yoga sequence, where the focus is on stretching, coupled up with meditation and breath work. Develop more stillness and mindfulness in your week, increase the quality of your sleep and create space to help the tissues of your body recover!

🌟Flow to Reset🌟

A 4 week course, join me for this lunchtime Fascia focused class where we will use mindful movement to shake off the morning slump with strengthening and stretching sequences, creating a more limber body and clearer mind for the rest of the day.

All classes are mixed level and beginners very welcomed. Different options are offered for each shape so you can tailor the practice to your body and experience.

Fascia is the thin, stretchy connective tissue that wraps around your whole body - like a web that holds everything together. It helps you move smoothly, feel grounded, and sense what’s happening on the inside. When fascia is healthy and hydrated, the whole body feels more open, spacious, and alive.

Most of us know how to stretch a muscle but fascia speaks a different language. One of the most direct ways to communicate with it is through vibration.

When you create sound with your own voice, the vibrations ripple through your entire fascial web. They move into places that regular stretching, hands-on work, or even movement can’t fully reach. A gentle humming, a sustained tone, a soft sigh - its like unlocking the body from the inside out.

It is finally Here! The majority of last couple of weeks have gone into planning what I am hoping to be your ideal yoga city adventure in my home town Reykjavik 16-20th April 2026!

Putting this together and sending it out into the universe is both thrilling and nerve racking. A big piece of myself has gone into the planning and I honestly can not wait to share this part of me with those of you who are interested!

Your voice is a powerful thing. No wonder that as soon as we start developing it, society and customs try to control it and cap it to a controllable size. How many of you feel bigger on the inside, than you allow yourself to be on the outside? This is actually what an old acting teacher said to me - ‘Kristin, dont be afraid to be as big as you are one the inside!’. Powerful words to someone who had a big personality as a child but was constantly told off by her teachers for being too loud!

Before I moved to Dublin, I had a couple of intense years where I travelled to France and Greece as an independent volunteer to help in unofficial refugee camps that had emerged after Turkey had closed its boarder to refugees and asylum seekers trying to reach Europe. This was at the time when the Syrian war governed the news cycle and pictures of flocks of people walking through Germany to get to a safe haven were a daily thing to see.

Long story short, I booked a bus ticket to Calais. This was the beginning of a period that changed everything for me. It was only the other day when I was looking through old notebooks from that time and came across a sentence I had written that first week in Calais that I realised how that period had affected the space I feel called upon to create now. ‘I have to use my voice for those who do not have one’. I remember vividly writing this, completely aware of how lucky I was to be born with all my privileges and feeling that now it was my responsibility to do something good and purposeful with it. I had found my voice, and the realisation I could use it to stand up for what I believed in.

Yoga is all about cultivating a relationship to your body and yourself (Your Self!). Your Voice is the core of YOU. It reveals your emotion and your state of mind. It can even highlight the state of your body as the structures who create and support your voice are ingrained deep within your physicality. How could we NOT include it in our explorations on the mat?

The Deep Release will help you release deep set tension in your body, as well as cultivating body and breath awareness in stillness with the help of Yin yoga practice and Myofascial Release Techniques.

Each class will feature a section where the application of balls and props will be used to apply acupressure in particular areas of the body (self-directed massage), followed by a yin yoga sequence, where the focus is on slow melting stretches.
