Martina's nutrition hacks: Brazil Nuts are great for anyone with thyroid issues because they are in rich selenium, which is essential for thyroid hormone metabolism. Just 1 Brazil nut is 139mcg. We need between 100-200mcg per day; therefore Brazil nuts are a wonderful source of selenium. Don’t overdo it though. Excess selenium can be toxic if over 900mcg per day is consumed.
