Breast cancer has touched so many families, and this is our way of honouring those affected and helping to drive change. Every euro donated will be matched by Danu, doubling the impact and bringing us even closer to earlier detection, better treatments, and a future filled with hope. ♥️ At Danu Home Care, we believe the best care starts with understanding. Recently, our amazing care assistant Poliana completed the Dementia Live Training, and her reflections perfectly capture the heart of what this experience offers.

🗣️ “This training is unlike any other I’ve done before. Instead of simply explaining what dementia is, it allows you to experience what it actually feels like to have dementia.
Being placed in that perspective gave me a deep sense of empathy that makes a real difference when supporting individuals living with the condition.”

Recently, our team took part in a special Dementia Training session using high-tech Virtual Reality headsets. The training allowed staff to step into the world of someone living with dementia, seeing and hearing through their perspective.

The result? A deeper understanding, new skills, and a stronger commitment to providing genuine, person-centred care. 🌟

One of our care assistants summed it up beautifully:

“It was a wonderful, extraordinary experience. I was able to learn about the reality of a person with dementia. Each of us left with a different outlook on life.”
