🩺 September is Sepsis Awareness Month – Learn the Signs!

Sepsis can develop from common infections and progress quickly. Early detection can save lives. Keep an eye out for:

High temperature or chills 🌡️
Rapid heartbeat or breathing ❤️💨
Confusion or extreme fatigue 🧠😴
Severe pain or discomfort 😣

If you notice these symptoms in yourself or someone you care for, seek medical help immediately.

Sepsis is one of the most serious medical emergencies we face today. In Ireland, it is estimated that over 3,000 people die each year from sepsis. What makes sepsis particularly dangerous is that it can affect anyone, at any age, and progress very quickly.

This September, as part of Sepsis Awareness Month, Danu Home Care is joining the national campaign to raise awareness among our staff, clients, and families. The more people understand what sepsis is and how to recognise the early signs, the faster the right help can be given, and that can save lives.

Our goal this month is simple: to inform, educate, and empower everyone in our community to act quickly if sepsis is suspected. Together, by staying alert and spreading awareness, we can make a difference.

Last week, the team at Danu Home Care came together to celebrate our CH08 Care Manager, Rhianna, at her baby shower. 🎉👶

It was a lovely afternoon filled with laughs, good wishes, and plenty of excitement as she prepares for the arrival of her little one. Rhianna has always shown so much care and dedication in her role, and we know she’ll continue to bring that same warmth and love to her growing family. 💕
