Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of facilitating a self-care workshop for International Protection Applicants.

These moments are where I recharge my batteries, and find the strength to continue my activism work. They remind me why this work matters.

In these workshops, we create safe spaces to connect, share our struggles without judgement, and find solidarity. We cry together, we laugh together, we heal together.

Thank you for the opportunity to hear you. In listening to each other, we discover we are not alone in our struggles. The connection becomes our greatest source of strength 💪🏾🫶🏾

The new year isn't about transforming into someone different, but about nurturing the person you already are.

This year, let's shift our focus from resolutions to restoration, from pressure to peace, and from doing more to being more present.

Happy self-care year!

I have just got this book. Before becoming a trauma-informed yoga teacher, I was/am a Social Scientist. It's important to have candid conversations about wellness spaces.

Let's open the dialogue and try to evolve as a society!

Midway through my Pilates Teacher Training, I felt overwhelmed. The intensity of the course made me question whether I could continue.

I thought about postponing it. But then, I refocused on my original goals, and the reason why I started. I thought about how this knowledge would elevate my ability to support my clients.

The knowledge I gained is going to make me a better prepared Corrective Manual Therapist/ Trauma-informed Yoga Teacher/ Pilates Instructor. Which makes every session more effective and transformative for those under my care.

Would you like to take part in slow-paced private/duos or group sessions? DM for more information.

The uncomfortable truth:

If in your businesses diversity exists only in marketing materials while remaining absent from paid roles, teaching, etc, you haven't earned the right to claim "Diversity and Inclusion" as a value.

Foot soaks are one of my favorite ways to help the body unwind. Warm water softens tension in the feet, boosts circulation, and sends a calming message through the whole nervous system. Most people only realize how much stress they hold in the feet when everything finally starts to release.

A simple soak can ease heaviness in the legs, reduce swelling, and bring that grounded, slow-breath feeling we all need more of. Adding salts or herbs can make the experience even more restorative.

Even ten quiet minutes with your feet in warm water can change how your whole body feels, and it’s one of the gentlest forms of care I offer.

If you’d like to experience this relaxation, send me a DM ❤️

Bruxism shows up in the face long before most people notice it. As I work, I can feel how the jaw holds extra pressure, how the cheeks get firm, and how the temples and the sides of the face start to tighten to compensate. 😮‍💨
During a massage, these areas tell me exactly where your body has been working too hard. With gentle pressure and slow, precise movements, it becomes possible to soften those layers and help your jaw finally let go.
If you’ve been waking up with jaw tension, headaches, or that “tight face” feeling, send me a DM! I can help you release it. 💌

The class was a balanced blend of challenging postures and restorative poses. We began with a grounding meditation, which helped to center our minds and set an intention for the practice. The flow sequences were thoughtfully structured, allowing for a gradual build-up of intensity. By the time we reached the peak poses, my body felt warmed up and ready, yet there was no pressure to achieve perfection—just an invitation to explore and enjoy the movement.

What stood out to me the most was the emphasis on the mind-body connection. Jane frequently reminded me to focus on my breath, using it as a tool to stay present and connected to our movements. This mindfulness component made the practice feel deeply meditative, and I left the class with a heightened sense of awareness and inner calm. I highly recommend giving Jane () a try. It’s more than just a workout; it’s a practice that cultivates inner balance and well-being.
