Plank pose. No more to be said. Your basically holding a push up. Good idea to help your wrists by placing your weight behind the knuckles and press up into your shoulders. Amazing hike down to the Kilm cove off Wicklow head below the stone Wicklow head lighthouse. A spectacular landscape. Snorkeling was tough after 40 degree hot yoga classes but always feel great after my sea swimming. Constant gratitude for living here and having a healthy body that's allows for such fun.

My little catuts plant I brought 3 years ago hadn't flowered since then. Now it's flowers are more numerous and spectacular than ever. At times our bodies, minds, life path might not being in flower. It doesn't mean it is dead or never going to return. It is simply waiting for the right time. Be gentle to yourself and remember to breath, drink water, be patient because you'll be flowering in your own time.

It's a deep stretch, balancing pose, and strength builder all in one as it opens your hips and hamstrings while activating your core. Can be very intense for beginners and long time yoga practioners. Gate pose. As you can see I'm perfectly imperfect at it in all the right ways. Functionally I have the pose perfect, aesthetically I'm not stretching far enough my tummy is showing. But this is why I love my yoga practice. It's not about how deep into a pose I can go. It's not about how perfect my body is. The point is to use the assanas to focus the mind body complex with the help of conscious breathing. Once you have performed these for a session your body and mind are calmer to allow meditation to more easily occur.

Sometimes yoga is just showing up on your mat and using your bolster.
