Ok, this one has a LOT of words, but PLEASE read it!! I see comments like this so very often and many times when another parent says “Don’t worry” my SLP mind screams - “GET AN EVALUATION!”
“Wait and see” and “don’t worry” pretty much go hand and hand- and we know this is OUTDATED and prevents children from accessing early intervention. So, here’s what you could/should say instead!

All ready to go to work on tactile defensiveness and feeding difficulties:
- Therapressure, peanut ball and beanbag to provide calming sensory input to regulate arousal
- water and shaving foam play to provide enhanced tactile and work on achieving an adaptive response
- pretend food and shopping trolley to normalise food and introduce food play at a level which feels safe for the child
- bubbles to work on oral motor skills development.

Lots of work to get done in a session! 😊😊
