Last month, our researchers showcased their latest findings at the AAGL Conference in New Orleans, one of the world’s leading gynecological surgical events! 🌟

The research explored the value of performing a biopsy of the lining of the uterus in women who have vaginal bleeding after menopause.

Up to 60% of these women have a very thin lining of the uterus, which makes it difficult to collect enough tissue for diagnosis. This procedure can also be very uncomfortable for the woman and quite expensive for the healthcare system.

So, is biopsy useful in these cases?

The results highlight how the biopsy often adds pain and cost without much clinical benefit. 🩺
