The school summer holidays are fast approaching for our little ones. No doubt they will want to pack as much fun/play as possible into their time off. As you organise their fun/play schedule for the next two months, take a moment to self-evaluate your own fun/play needs and add them to the schedule. Fun is one of our 5 basic needs (William Glasser) and when met it brings about a lightness in our way of being and increases our serotonin levels, which in turn benefits our overall well being and mental health. Therapy does not only happen in the counselling room and you don't need an appointment to meet your fun need 😁

Nothing ever changes without action. Our best intentions will remain just that "intentions" without our action. We can all to easily get caught up in our inner dialogue, delaying and putting off moving towards positive personal change. Repetition of old ways of behaviour keeps us stuck and may no longer be working for us in our present lifestyle. Only you know where change is needed.
May your week be full of action 💙

"Thank you"
Two simple words to show your appreciation. We say this countless times to others but how often do we say it to ourself? If you take a moment to self-evaluate without criticism, you may just find yourself thanking YOU today 💙

Where do you draw your strength from? We all have our thing that helps us to regroup our thoughts, relax our pace of life & empower us to move through life's up's & downs. Regardless of whether that is laughter in good company, exercise, moments of solitude, meditation or therapy, if you come away feeling lighter from it then you have drawn some strength. May your week be as light as a feather 💙

Happy Friday!
Whomever or whatever you care for this weekend remember to include yourself. Our mental health is our foundation and directly impacts how we relate to ourselves and others. Selfcare is our strongest building block 💙

Exercising at your pace gives positive results for your physical health. Reaching out for support when needed does the same for your mental health. Restoring the ballance in our life allows us to move forward more freely.
May your day be a balanced one 💙

100% Is top marks.
However your 100% & my 100% may be very different when it comes to what's acceptable to us personally. Your standards & boundaries are invisible to others until you show them. They are unique to you & separate from your expectations of others.
Drawing a line in the sand is a metaphor for making your boundaries & standers visible & relationships flourish when the guess work is removed. May your weekend be your own 100%.

Middle of the week, "we are halfway there" but where is there? What is your destination? Whether it's a weekday or the weekend we are always with ourselves. Are you on your to do list? Is self care on your list? Remembering to include, inquire & listen to ourself is self care & can enable us to reach out for support when needed. Add You to your list.

Good afternoon,
This weekend may be a relaxing time for you after a busy week, or it may be a busy time for you, rushing around trying to fit it all in before the week starts again. We can all get stuck in the doing, waiting to find the time to relax. We don't have to walk on the beach to find inner peace. Finding a space, a moment where we pause and check in with ourselves is better than passing yourself on your way to doing the next thing. We are incredibly uniquely interesting if we take a moment to find out. Talk Therapy can help us with understanding ourselves and our patterns of behaviour. May your weekend be full of self curiosity 💙
