The evolution of Sadhana.
I’ve witnessed my own seasonal shift of asana practice and I’ve witnessed it in many others also. There comes a time to go deeper, strip back and begin again from the root up.
Working with the body in a methodical (and intuitive) way rather than randomly really brings the fruits of a good Yoga practice. It’s all leading toward meditation, using asana practice to become comfortable with stillness requires some stillness within the asana practice itself, it’s necessary preparation.
If you have an asana practice established, it will have prepared you for a slower practice. In my experience it gives us an opportunity to really watch ourselves with compassion as well as connect to the mystery and divinity of this world.
