The Virtual Music School was set up to provide music lessons to people with disabilities. The idea is as follows:

1. Source a person with a disability who is interested in learning a musical instrument.

2. Find a sponsor who is willing to pay for 75% of the tuition cost, the student paying the balance.

3. Connect the student with an online tutor.

4. Support and facilitate the student and tutor to hold their lessons via video conferencing technology.

We offer musical instrument lessons to people living on the island of Ireland who are living with disabilities. Fees are subsidised by sponsorship. We have a range of tutors who teach a number of different instruments. If you want to learn an instrument that we don't already facilitate, we will find a tutor for you. Contact us for details.

Our Story

The Virtual Music School was set up to provide people with disabilities easy access to classes in musical instruments and voice coaching. We have approximately 20 students, 8 tutors and 2 support volunteer staff. The subjects we teach include: Guitar, Piano, Clarinet, Banjo, Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Flute, Harmonica, and vocal coaching.
