📣 Family Members Wanted for Research Study – Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

Have you noticed positive or unexpected changes in your loved one following an acquired brain injury? However small, your experience matters.

Researchers at the University of Limerick are inviting family members to take part in a study exploring post-traumatic growth following adult acquired brain injury.

🧠 What is the study about?
We want to understand:
• How families recognise growth after ABI
• What factors help or hinder growth
• How growth can best be supported

👥 Who can take part?
You can participate if you are:
• A family member of an adult with an acquired brain injury
• Your loved one is at least 2 years post-injury
• Over 18 years of age

💬 What’s involved?
• Join a 1-hour online focus group (4–5 participants)
OR
• Take part in a 1:1 online interview

📅 Online Focus Group Dates (7pm–8pm):
• Thursday 5th March 2026
• Thursday 19th March 2026
• Tuesday 24th March 2026

Recruitment and data collection will run from February–May 2026.

📩 Interested?
You can:
• Email: raleigh.niamh@ul.ie

Big shout out to Debbie O Shea and Trish Hurley who ran an aerobic and yoga event in Highfield Rugby Club to raise funds for our building development in Cork! What ensued was a morning full of positivity, exercise and fun. A whopping € 2100 was raised. Thanks a million to both of ye!
